I've seen a lot of stories here, and people asking question about writing without getting many answers. So I decided to post a topic simply for helping people on their stories.
First of all: create a rough outline. answer these questions: Where does it take place? How should it end? What is/are the main character/s like? What is the main conflict?
just map out these questions in a way that makes sense to you, then you can start writing.
What if I get stuck? simple. take a short break. if you are still having some trouble, try reading a book or story with a similar theme, or listening to music. You could also try taking another look at your plan, reorganizing it and altering it if you need to.
My story is starting to get boring, what do I do? try creating a new character, they can add an exciting twist to the story. or you could introduce a power the main character(s) did not know they had - depending on the story of course. Again, reading a little bit or listening to music can inspire you.
feel free to post any other questions here. advice is welcome too.

I just came out of my comfort zone, and sent some of my stories to somebody. Thank you!!! Also...I'm trying out two different fandoms at the same time, and it's not working out so well.
Do I need to take a break from one to focus on the new one?

well, I had a couple stories going at once and it was difficult. What I would do is focus mainly on one, then if you get stuck you can go back to the other one while you try to come up with ideas. Just don't get them mixed up.
Another good thing to do is set one aside completely, without deleting it, and finish the other one first.

When I start a story, and I somehow get uninspired or it gets boring, and I don't know where to take it next...I normally just don't finish it.

I know I shouldn't do that.
Like, there's this one that I'm working on, and I don't know where to take it from this one point. What do I do?
