{Alright. Pineclaw's a little ways outside the camp, so Cherryleaf will have to head out there to see him.}
Pineclaw stalked through the woods, shouldering his way through the thick undergrowth rather than finding a way around. He was glad to be away from the too-open plains, but this forest was nothing like the old one. Too thick and crowded. Suddenly, he felt a sharp pain in his paw, and stifled a hiss. He lifted his paw, examining it to find a large thorn driven deep into the pad. He growled in annoyance.
Eaglestar had joined the cats clearing the camp, working on pulling brambles away from an old shrub that she hoped would be a suitable den. She grabbed a twisted branch in her mouth, careful to avoid the thorns. Her claws dug into the ground as she struggled to pull it away. It soon became clear that the thorny bush wasn't moving, and she dropped it, grimacing. Perhaps if she dug out the roots? But it would be difficult to get to them without losing an eye to the thorns. She stared, trying to find a weakness in the bush as if it were an enemy warrior.

And, as usual, she was in a, well, prickly situation. Her more fluffy and tufted her had gotten her wedged in-between the brambles uncomfortably. And still, she was trying to push forwards. So much potential was beyond these branches, that could be just around the larger tree visible through the brambles. Even so, in this moment, she was completely trapped, and unable to move.
Lightpaw bounded through the camp, darting around the cats working to clear it as she explored. She rounded a small bush, then paused, staring. A small black and white apprentice--Flutterpaw, she thought it was--had somehow gotten herself hopelessly stuck in the brambles. Lightpaw tried not to laugh, whiskers twitching. "Need some help there?" she asked, unable to keep a purr of amusement out of her voice.

She blinked softly, "Pineclaw?" She called hesitantly as she made her way over, "Could I join your patrol?" She asked.
Pineclaw looked up, still holding his paw above the ground. "It's me." he said gruffly. "And I wouldn't call it a patrol, with only me out here." he smirked slightly. "But sure, you can come along. Just...give me a minute." with that, he looked down at his paw again, narrowing his eyes at the thorn. He paused for a moment, trying to work out a way to pull it out without doing more damage.
Eaglestar looked over at Tigerclaw, considering his suggestion. "That might work for the smaller branches, but the thicker ones are tough. Claws might not do it..." she trailed of, thinking. After a moment, she smiled. "Alright, I think I've got it." she announced. "Tigerclaw, do you think you could hold back these branches?" she asked, gesturing towards them. "You'll have to be careful of the thorns, but if you can do that, I think I can slip underneath and dig up the roots. Then we can get this whole bush out of the way, and use it to reinforce the camp borders."Joyfeather16 wrote:Tigerclaw made his way towards Eaglestar< "need some help?"
