Pyro nodded slightly at what his cousin said, " Very well. She has an excellent shot, " he nodded again, turning to Slater as he asked about the arrow. Taking it, he sniffed at it lightly, and raised both brows in appreciation, " Is that, " he paused for a moment, and then finished, " Cedar? She has an excellent taste. She either stole them or made them herself -- if she made them, then she's an amazing arrow maker. " he hummed softly, appreciating it before he let it fall to the ground. " Are we going to follow her or head back to town? " he queried of his cousin, taking a step in the direction of where he'd seen the girl and wolves run off in.

“To be exact, neither.” Slater said softly. “Nobody has reported a stolen stash of arrows. But you see, around here cedar only grows at the base of the mountains west of here. Not too far, maybe seven miles?” He mummered, looking that way, he grinned. “That means she goes there. So in theory if we stalk her enough she will fire all her arrows, we will keep them, and then she will be forced to make more, which we can meet her at the cedar forest entrance. Did you mother ever take you there? It's between to massive boulders. There is only one way in and one way out. So what do you think? shall we proceed with the plan.”

Pyro nodded slightly, but as he'd asked whether his mother had taken him there, he shook his head. " 'Fraid not. But clearly you know the way. And obviously, Dumah does, too. " he said, pondering that thought for a moment. " Mum may have taken me when I was a wee bit younger, but I have the feeling I was far too young to remember it properly. " he finally concluded, looking over at Slater. " But I like your idea. Then we'll pursue, speed up the process? " he ended in a question that was almost a statement, " Yes, " he answered the final question, " We'll proceed with the plan. " And with that, he began toward the forward at a leisurely pace, his gaze scanning the ground for clues as to where she'd gone. Near the water's edge, he noticed, were two sets of paw prints -- from the two wolves, he noted -- and a set of feet, though the heel wasn't there -- it was only the pads of her feet and her toes. She was obviously very skilled in being silent, just from her footprints. " We may want to be careful, Slater, " he told his cousin, " She's obviously, " he made a gesture toward the footprints, " very skilled in stealth, and from what we just witnessed, has an excellent shot. "

Nodding Slater looked over them again. "We do. Do you want to split up? One after her, the other after the wolves? She can protect both" Slater said softly. Standing up again, he followed the paw prints patterns with his eyes. "This could be a good deal of fun. Of course, this is shadow, not engage. But still. It will prove fun." He said as he looked back to Pyro. "wanna flip a coin for directions?"

Shadows Rise

The alpha flicked an ear back when the other brute spoke at first, almost uneasy. He felt the slight push on his mind when Storm used telepathy to see into his mind, though he didn't make any action to block him out. He was used to the sort of thing -- Dusk and Fire both had a form of telepathy, so he knew how to block someone out if it came to that. At what he said, he considered it for several moments. " We could trade, " he offered, " not literally. We could share land, so it wouldn't be just you and your Taken child... " he trailed off, unsure what else to say.

Storm Breaking at Dusk takes a deep breath and slowly nods. "Alright. You'll have to make her fall for you. I wont force her to be your mate, that will be her decision." he says at last. "We aught to hold a gathering...and we will be a...joint Alphaship aye?" asks the dark male. Those dark green eyes flit brightly, that lovely gaze flits momentarilly. "My sister Will make her own decision." he says, "She will not be forced." The large alpha male dips his black and silver edged head with a broad grin.

Tempest Brewing at Dawn huffs as her lovely blue eyes catch the hunters, that delicate muzzle of hers catches their scents..and she does not fear. She could take them if she had too... The lowly, alpha-sister grins impudently at her friend a moment before asking him to see what is going on. When the wolf-ling-human disobeys a moment she bares her fangs. "Go. Now. Ask the hunters what they search for.You know their toung." She hides behind a bush in a shaft of sunlight, gold and white pelt hidden almost perfectly.

James meekly bows to her wishes and slinks forward, then around the humans..not that he isnt Blooded as one but because he no longer veiws himself as one. The young man makes an inquiring noise in his throat knowing they can't see anything but his eyes and the slight curve of his shoulder. That same noise is repeated...only loud enough for them to hear. James Arik Bane adjusts the green-gray cloth around his middle, and runs his fingers through his hair which hangs over his green-gold eyes, white teeth gleam as he huffs for attention. The knife sheith at his side is full, but he caresses the handle in nerviousness. Another fur-cut soon.. he thinks nerviously. "Chick, Shick, Chick." he sounds out nerviously.

Pyro smirked at his cousin's response, but at the query, he merely shrugged, responding, " I guess we can. " He grinned at Slater, " Splitting up would allow us to cover more ground and get even further acquainted with the forest and our surroundings. " he added on after thinking about it for a moment. " And yes, flip a coin -- Heads for Dumah and tails for the wolves? " He queried his cousin curiously, lifting his free hand to comb his black and blonde hair back from his deep brown eyes.

Shadow didn't speak until the other alpha questioned him about their Alphaship. " Yes, I suppose we will be a joint Alphaship. " he answered, and then silenced himself again as the other alpha began speaking again. " I swear to you that I will not force her to be my mate. Should she not wish to, I will respect her decision, " he told Storm with honesty, dipping his nose respectfully and then almost instantly raising it again as a shadow that was shaped vaguely like a wolf stopped beside him, speaking swiftly about hunters on the land -- searching for Silence. Shadow gazed at the shadow wolf for a moment, and then ordered, " Find her. Make sure she's safe. "
The shadow wolf dissipated with a curt nod, seemingly to find Shadow's human-child. Shadow felt weary -- he'd been dealing with a lot since the hunters started hunting on his land again, threatening the safety of his pack and causing their supply of game to drop drastically. " When will the gathering be held? We should do it in the presence in all of the pack members -- Dumah and my wolves along with your sister and your Taken Child. " he said thoughtfully.
