1.What date did you register as a CS member?: (if it's less than 6 months ago, do not apply)

I registered as a CS members on Monday July 09, 2012 at 1:56 PM.

2.How many posts have you made in the forum (at the time of applying): (if it's less than 300, do not apply)

I have made a total of 4540 posts.

3.How many days a week do you usually visit CS?

I visit CS between five and seven days a week. Sometimes, if I'm busy, I may not be able to get on CS on the weekends.

4.How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit?

About 7-10 hours or more a day, depending on the day.

5.Have you moderated on any other forums before? If so, please link to them

I've moderated about four forums, all of which were sadly closed down and deleted due to inactivity and what not. I also used to be an admin for a website that closed down last November becquerel the owner didn't have time for it anymore.

6.Have you ever used the CS oekaki to draw?

Yes. I've only posted a few drawings, but I usually go and doodle a lot with out saving.

7.Do you ever spend much time browsing the oekaki board just to look at the art posted there?

Maybe close to an hour a day, if I'm not distracted with other things.

8.Why do you want to be an oekaki moderator for CS?

I think being an Oekaki Moderator for CS would just be something nice to do, and it would let me give back and do something with all the hours I spend on CS just browsing diffrent fourms. I also think that making sure people will follow the rules of CS and the Oekaki rules is fairly important. Why should I just sit around looking at different peoples art when I can be helping out around the Oekaki instead? I also really would liek to be a Moderator for somehting on CS, but hey, someone else could end up with the job.

9.Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position (this is not required) (for example have you had any experience in peer mediation? Have you had a ton of experience using the oekaki program?)

Well, I've done a bit of peer mediation before, but it's nothing worth talking about for this. I know my way around the Oekaki and I think I would be able to resolve some or most of the small issiues that may come up from time to time. It may seem like nothing, but I can keep calm and not snap if someone or a few people break the CS Oekaki rules.

DragonLoverHere's Application: Oekaki Moderator
1.What date did you register as a CS member?
I became an official CS user on December 6th 2010

2.How many posts have you made in the forum
10102 posts made at this point in time

3.How many days a week do you usually visit CS?
Daily; if I don't have a small buzz of CS every day, I kinda get this draw to it.

4.How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit?
I'd say I spend a decent two to three hours minimum every school day on CS, and depending on the day without school, I can get anywhere from two hours minimum to a whole day if I'm given the chance to log on

5.Have you moderated on any other forums before? If so, please link to them
I have applied for other website moderator spots and been asked to moderate before, but I couldn't find the interest in these websites to be a frequent or active moderator. However, I have a natural love of CS, so would die to contribute more to something I adore so much!

6.Have you ever used the CS oekaki to draw?
As of today, I've created art in every normal forum but editables, and have a total of 458 drawings on oekaki. In fact, about a quarter of those drawings are to making art for others.

7.Do you ever spend much time browsing the oekaki board just to look at the art posted there?
I spend time browsing and liking things posted when I'm bored. It turns out that when I do, I end up making predictions to myself of the next features. I rarely post, but I pounce on chances to give people who want them tips and to assist others.

8.Why do you want to be an oekaki moderator for CS?
Well, as you can probably tell, I am an avid CSer and die hard trader and artist. It turns out that this has been the only site I have adapted to so quickly and actually fallen in love with every inch of. I want to become a moderator for it because I admire the people who keep these boards running cleanly and don't bug out when they have pains in the tails. I think that the mods, helpers, and administrators are kind of heroes to me, so I do tend to dream of holding a position and being like these awesome people.

Anyways, I'd treat this job as the true honor it is and dedicate much of my time to it. I want to help lay down rule violations cleanly and contribute to this amazing site as much as physically possible with my spare time. I love to do things such as this and help in any way possible to anyone, so it'd be living a dream to have this special position.

9.Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position
Oh, I've tons of skills I could bring to the job. I have been trained as a peer mediator and event coordinator several times now, in and out of school. I also do many volunteering tasks, anything from little pieces of free character art to offering advice and talking others out of rash actions (nagema, one of the sweetest girls on CS, is someone who keeps thanking me unnessicarily!xD). Not only this, but I do community tasks often (physical laborer, pet sitter, vet assistant), which has taught me more about patience and working through issues mods encounter. In short, volunteering and doing things to help others or improve something is a passion I have deeply rooted in my heart, so I'd also bring a love of what I am doing. I use the oekaki program quite a bit daily, and most frequently now to design gifts and free amazing characters for others.

I want to wish everyone good luck! There are so many amazing forms here, and the competition is so wild for the positions. Whoever is picked, I know they will make a stunning mod and be an amazing contribution to this florishing website!

Shinny's (・∀・) A P P L I C A T I O N

What date did you register as a CS member?:
I joined January 24th, in the year of 2010.

How many posts have you made in the forum (at the time of applying):
I've made 18,796 posts so far. This will be my 18, 797th post! :D

How many days a week do you usually visit CS?
I visit CS practically everyday. If busy, maybe every other day.

How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit?
On days that I'm not busy, it's usually 6 or 7 hours (usually on weekends). If I am busy or I go out to do something with family, I'm usually on 3-5 hours that day.

Have you moderated on any other forums before? If so, please link to them
I have never moderated any forums on any site.

Have you ever used the CS oekaki to draw?
Being truthful, CS' oekaki system is the only online system I use to draw digitally. I draw by using a built-in track-pad mouse.

Do you ever spend much time browsing the oekaki board just to look at the art posted there?
Whenever I'm in the mood for some sketching using Chibi Paint, I usually go through a few pages of some of the drawings floating around. My want to draw and sketch comes about everyday, so I spend some time in the Oekaki just wandering and looking at the beautiful drawings.

Why do you want to be an oekaki moderator for CS?
Well, I've been on Chicken Smoothie for three years now, and I think it's time that I try to do something to help it, something that'd get me closer with the other users of CS. I want to be a bit more active in the oekakis, as well as meet new CSians and help them along in their journey on improving their art skills. I know it's a tough road on improving your skills, and that getting pieces moved out of oekakis you thought they should have been in can be a bit discouraging. Along with the jobs expected of the Oekaki Moderator (moving pieces, for example) , I think it'd be nice to have someone who could also provide encouraging words and make the discouraged feel better and ready to tackle Chibi Paint once more. :3

Getting any position when these openings come up is always an honor, because you're helping the site that's given you memories.

Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position (this is not required)
I have not had any peer mediation, but I've dealt with the drama that school gives you, and I've helped other people with their dramas. If any bullying or fighting happened in the Oekakis, I'd do my best and make sure it gets solved.

As for oekaki experience, I'm not sure if you'd say I've had a ton of experience. I experiment with the oekaki all the time, and different techniques and styles of drawing, but am only limited to mouse drawings. Pen pressure is something I'm clueless about, but I have your basics of oekaki down, ie. merging layers, copying and flipping, being able to color of shadows, making smooth lines...

I'm not too sure if any of these would be useful to you or not, but hey, it's worth a try, am I right?
I wish you luck in your judging, and I wish everybody luck themselves~ :3<3

Re: Oekaki Moderator Applications NOW OPEN

Postby nowi » Thu Feb 28, 2013 12:07 pm

What date did you register as a CS member?: September 6th, 2009

How many posts have you made in the forum (at the time of applying): 7486

How many days a week do you usually visit CS? 7 days a week, usually, unless I have an excessively large amount of work, but even in that situation, I usually try to at least check in on the site ^-^

How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit? Usually anywhere between 2 - 4 on a regular weekday, much more on the weekend or especially light days.

Have you moderated on any other forums before? If so, please link to them No, I have not.

Have you ever used the CS oekaki to draw? Yes, I absolutely have^^

Do you ever spend much time browsing the oekaki board just to look at the art posted there? Not as often as I should! However, whenever I log onto CS, I like to look at the featured drawings in the corner, as they're always really nice to look at! I really should look at the oekaki board more, as the artists here on CS are just fantastic :3

Why do you want to be an oekaki moderator for CS? When I first started on CS, I wasn't big on using the forums here, but the people here were so welcoming of me, and the community is just lovely overall. Ever since I first became a part of the CS forum community, I've wanted to do something to help CS myself. Being an Oekaki moderator would be something I would very much enjoy doing. I absolutely love to look at others' art, and I think it would be very nice to look at the CS' members art, since everyone here is a fantastic artist! I think that doing this for myself would help me become more involved with the CS community. I love to get to know people, especially over stuff like art, and so this would be the perfect opportunity to begin to do so.

Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position (this is not required) While I don't actually use Oekaki very much nowadays, I believe I'm pretty familiar with the app, and I think I have a pretty good understanding as to how it works and I would be more than happy to help people figure out how to use it.
I am also usually pretty un-biased when it comes to arguments/fights, so I think I would be good at resolving thinks without making either side upset.

    Thank you for this opportunity!

i am no longer that active on cs.
i am looking to trade all of my pets for art or fr!
if interested you can pm me or send a trade c:

i am still using all my ocs!

What date did you register as a CS member?:

December 9th, 2011

How many posts have you made in the forum (at the time of applying):

4362

How many days a week do you usually visit CS?

Tests start next week, so I won't be on as much, but usually every day.

How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit?

3-5

Have you moderated on any other forums before? If so, please link to them

I never have, and would love to start.

Have you ever used the CS oekaki to draw?

I have a few drawings in my gallery (I'm not very good...)

Do you ever spend much time browsing the oekaki board just to look at the art posted there?

I usually watch the featured drawings three times a week, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. That usually leads to me looking through the advanced art.

Why do you want to be an oekaki moderator for CS?

I really like C.S. And I would love to help it moderate, even if its a small bit.

Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position

I may not draw often, but I know how to use the tools. In grade school, I got several awards for leadership, and good behavior. I use to have a very short temper, but I have signed up for yoga, and all of that seems like it doesn't exist. I know the rules of C.S and I follow them each day. I also know the rules of the Oekaki, and whenever I draw I follow them. I love solving problems, and I love helping people.
