What date did you register as a CS member?:
27th April 2011, time has flew by! :)

How many posts have you made in the forum (at the time of applying):
4196 posts.

How many days a week do you usually visit CS?
On my free weeks I visit CS on the weekdays, sometimes the weekends if I'm not too busy.

How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit?
I spend 2-3 hours on CS mostly as a guest when I'm stalking the forums.

Have you moderated on any other forums before? If so, please link to them
I have moderated two forums before but they are now dead. :c

Have you ever used the CS oekaki to draw?
Yes, most of the time not saving it because I get frustrated with my work but I am still quite familiar with Oekaki and can use my knowledge in GIMP/PS and translate it into Oekaki to make life easier.

Do you ever spend much time browsing the oekaki board just to look at the art posted there?
Yes, I love the art! Especially ones that look like real photos and others that are so creative! I think it is extremely fascinating how one can be so detailed with the simple, basic colours that are given and how they can be manipulated. I also find it interesting that there are some people who'd be quiet around the forums and then just post an exceptional piece of work. c:

Why do you want to be an oekaki moderator for CS?
One of the reasons why I want to be an Oekaki moderator is because it'd give me a real reason to look at the art various CS players have created, not just because I want to but because I need to. I just guess I want to need to? XD
I also feel I should be an oekaki moderator because I feel I should give something back to the site after all the hours of bordem it has filled and all the times I have almost cried because I'm laughing so hard. You guise. narr. c: <3

Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position?
I live in the GMT time zone so maybe in the early mornings while the American/Australian/Other mods were sleeping Id be online and able to check the boards for those people up quite late or up quite early like me. c:
I will also be getting internet on my mobile paid for so Id be able to access the boards frequently throughout the day without needing a laptop in front of me although a laptop'd be ideal.

I am also not one for fights and hate to see these kind of things happen. I think Id deal with a situation with out being one-sided because I generally do in real life. For example, if it were a fight between two of my friends Id hear both sides of the story and then consider these points and go to someone else who was maybe involved in the situation or saw the actual incident occur as I know we as humans tend to exaggerate to an extent to what we say can no longer be true. However, I would not have that option of going to witnesses in the forum board so I would re-read everyone's story and pick out the parts that are definitely true.

Another reason would be that I know how intimidating a moderator or member of staff can be so I would try to be friendly and welcome in queries and questions or people who had problems or wanted to report some bad behavior. Generally, I try to make myself as a person look friendly and easy to talk to. I'm sure if you asked my friends in real life they'd tell you I'm a bit weird but funny and friendly at the same time.

:3 Thanks for reading my form ^^

Postby zelos » Thu Feb 28, 2013 7:10 am

What date did you register as a CS member?: November 21, 2011 8D

How many posts have you made in the forum: 2190 and counting

How many days a week do you usually visit CS?: Every day of my life, whether it's from a mobile device, or on an actual computer

How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit?: Anywhere from two to eight, on a good day. ^^ Even when I'm grounded I try to get on a bit

Have you moderated on any other forums before? If so, please link to them: I've been the admin/creator of a few, but they're not active anymore. However, if you still wish to see them, here are a few. X.X.X

Have you ever used the CS oekaki to draw?: Oh yes, multiple times. ^^ I tend to normally color in pretty linearts, but sometimes I'll make a drawing or two. I tend not to usually publish them, though. Sometimes they're not that great. However, I know it very well.

Do you ever spend much time browsing the oekaki board just to look at the art posted there?: I love looking at the featured drawings on the home page, and sometimes I'll click on one and then derp around the oekaki forums looking at more. I love CS pet fanart, as well as original creations. There are so many creative users around here, and that is just something I love to see.

Why do you want to be an oekaki moderator for CS?: CS is an amazing site, and has practically become part of my life since November 21, 2011... xD I love all of the staff members here. They are so friendly and helpful, that I would love to give back to this community and carry on the favors that they have done for me. I'm a trustworthy person, and easy to work with. I enjoy looking at some of the amazing art that users have created for this site, and sometimes I like to have fun and just mess around with the drawing program. But I would love to help keep Chicken Smoothie a family friendly place, where everyone can be happy and there are cookies and milk for everyone! 8D I like to think of the people here as my second family, because it's a place where I can go and just straight up be myself, without worrying about being judged, because there are lots of other people on here who I can relate to. I might not be as qualified as other users, and my form might just be looked over, but let me tell you, working for CS would just be an amazing honor. Thank you for the offer, and I know you'll pick the perfect people for the job! =D

Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position: I'm easy to work with, and I tend to be level headed. While some things may annoy me at times, I'm very good at keeping my cool and working things through. I get along with almost everyone, and I know the Oekaki pretty well, along with its rules, and what is right and what isn't. I don't have a problem seeing images that include violence, blood, and other obscene things, and I never accuse someone of something without first getting proof.

Question: Does an oekaki moderator pick featured art for the front page? Just wondering.

What date did you register as a CS member?:
October 4th, 2008
How many posts have you made in the forum (at the time of applying):
3,480
How many days a week do you usually visit CS?:
Every Day
How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit?:
At least 2 hours a day, though usually more. I also leave a tab open and check in on the site through out the day.
Have you moderated on any other forums before?
I have, but unfortunately the sites no longer exist.
Have you ever used the CS oekaki to draw?:
Yes, quite a few times
Do you ever spend much time browsing the oekaki board just to look at the art posted there?:
Yup, I love browsing the art and seeing the various pieces that CSians contribute.
Why do you want to be an oekaki moderator for CS?:
I have been a member of Chicken Smoothie for a long time and I have been wanting to contribute more than just being a member. I think that the Oekaki Moderator would be perfect for me. I love art and the whole process with it. I know I can help people and yet be firm when I need to be. An an artist myself, I have dealt with personal art theft in the past and have been able to handle it with a cool head, even with the opposite party being quite rude to me. Most of all, I love being involved in art communities and Chicken Smoothie is no exception.
Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position?:
I do have a lot of experience in the oekaki, even if I don't post a lot, I'll still go on to mess around with the different tools to see what kind of effects I can create with them. I've also used other oekaki's in the past. I also have experience working with others. I have been a tutor off and on since high school and I am also a youth leader at my church.

What date did you register as a CS member?: Sun Oct 26, 2008
How many posts have you made in the forum (at the time of applying): 4682
How many days a week do you usually visit CS? Everyday usually unless something major comes up, which isn't at all often x3
How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit? On school days, about 3-5 hours unless I have homework or have to go somewhere. Weekends and breaks, 5-8 hours probably, I have way too much time on my hands.
Have you moderated on any other forums before? Unfortunately not, though I have modded a couple of threads and owned a couple of art shops and species threads.
Have you ever used the CS oekaki to draw? Maybe a bit too much XD All drawings (378)
Do you ever spend much time browsing the oekaki board just to look at the art posted there? Multiple times a day now usually, I mostly look at Intermediate, Adoptable, and Sketches and Experiments, though I do look at Contests, Editable, and Beginners too occasionally.
Why do you want to be an oekaki moderator for CS? I love CS and the people on it, it's helped me through a lot of hard times, and I want to give back. I also love art and the oekaki, and I want to help make sure it's organized and free of art theft. I am strongly against art theft, but I always deal with it in a calm manor and politely explain that what they have done is not right and how to correct it. I also think this job will help boost my sense of responsibility as i'm at that point in my life where I need to start looking for a part-time job in a year or two as well as try and get into a good college. I still have a couple years before that as I have stated and I will not forget about CS at that time and hope to still be able to moderate if chosen, but until then I really think this is a great opportunity to not just give back to the site and people that have been a huge part of my life, but help improve some skills I will need later on in life^^
Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position?

I've used Oekaki a lot:
All drawings (378) Colored in (157) Sketches and experiments (93) Editable Oekaki (32) Beginner's Oekaki (29) Entries (27) Created pets (17) Intermediate Oekaki (14) Competitions (5) Adoptable Oekaki (3) Art Competitions (1)

I'm usually pretty good at identifying art theft
I am pretty good at telling if something was stolen or not and have quite a knowledge on free DA linearts/makers and what thy do and don't allow as I browse DA linearts quite often for personal use, usually character refs. I can also recognize at styles easily and can tell if that art belongs to another user or person on DA. I always go and get proof before making any accusations though incase my intuition is wrong. I also am able to deal with it in a calm manor and thoroughly explain what they did wrong and how to avoid future warnings.

I know the rules well
I know the rules of the Oekaki and what is and isn't allowed. I also have pretty good knowledge on knowing whats Beginners and whats Intermediate, and can handle the reactions of people who have had drawings moved calmly and kinda give them a little pep talk to keep working on it and that they're art is still very good.

I'm a good talker/listener
I am able to both listen to and understand people's concerns while also being able to talk to them and resolve their problems without trouble. I know what should and shouldn't be said very well and i'm polite and easy to talk to. I never judge people and if they are feeling down I will always try my best to cheer them up. No matter how rude or disrespectful a person is, I will always be respectful of them and deal with them politely but firmly, so they know what they're doing is wrong but they don't feel like i'm just being mean to them, they feel like I understand their points but I have a job to do and they are indeed breaking the rules and/or need to change/fix something.

Thank you for the opportunity to apply and good luck to everyone who does apply^^

    1. What date did you register as a CS member?: Friday, Dec 16th, 2011 7:30am.
    2. How many posts have you made in the forum (at the time of applying): 3452.
    3. How many days a week do you usually visit CS? Everyday.
    4. How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit? 9am to 5pm then 8pm to 11pm (:
    5. Have you moderated on any other forums before? I've moderated on CS before but not any other forum. Well, except for one since my friend had me down as "Best Friend" which sort of gave me some advantage on the RPing site she made~
    6. Have you ever used the CS oekaki to draw? Only twice D: I suck at drawing so I only use the Color-in and the Intimidate one to see the art ❤
    7. Do you ever spend much time browsing the oekaki board just to look at the art posted there? Yes, all the time. Sometimes in the 18+ Only Chats & maybe.. Occasionally, other forums like the RP or most inactive threads. I like the clubs/chats/& animal chitter about CS.

    Oops! Read that question wrong^^
    I actually do browse the Oekaki forums! Believe I said it a little earlier. I love visiting and seeing the art & texture they use. I mainly look at TheWolfsGirl90, Neara, & Lillian Nightshade. But I also enjoy watching then live stream & other artist on Deviantart. The featured on CS I look at them a lot. Idk, I just enjoy art a lot. I'm traditional ;n; but I suck. But looking at others draw, DOES persuaded me to try a lot harder. :}
    8. Why do you want to be an oekaki moderator for CS? I actually like to enjoy & look at art. I love the special talents people have. I envy them :3 but, I would like to actually TRY it out for once. I would spend a lot more time in the intimidate forums & beginner art. It would be like visiting a real art museum.
    9. Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position? Yes, again, actually. Hehe :} I am very experienced in Peer Mediation. I had to council many students in my school due to bullying, harassing, & threatening situations.
And am I experienced in the Okeaki? Maybe a little. But the color-ins & made already lines, yes.

    Thanks for the opportunity! :}

What date did you register as a CS member?: (if it's less than 6 months ago, do not apply)
Saturday 27th September 2008
How many posts have you made in the forum (at the time of applying): (if it's less than 300, do not apply)
4609 (This post would be my 4610th)
How many days a week do you usually visit CS?:
I visit CS pretty much everyday, I don't always post when I visit, but I like to check up on what's going on.
How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit?
I spend a range of time, most of the time I stay on for a while, checking up on posts and just browsing. I spend anytime from 2 hours - 5 hours. If for any reason I can't come on, I still make sure that I have at least come on once and have checked up on the necessary things.
Have you moderated on any other forums before? If so, please link to them:
I've moderated on threads on CS before, but never on a forum.
Have you ever used the CS oekaki to draw?:
I have, I am not a particually skilled drawer, but I try. I enjoyed messing around with tools to get different effects, it always amazes me some of the creativity some oekaki users have.
Do you ever spend much time browsing the oekaki board just to look at the art posted there?:
I do, quite a bit. I don't always comment, but I will browse through the different sections, admiring them all and noting down usernames for future reference. I like to go through the editable oekaki occasionally and seeing the ranges of linearts.
Why do you want to be an oekaki moderator for CS?:
I'd love to be an Oekaki Moderator on CS, for I'd love to see things organized. I like to have things how they should be, and when I occasionally see art in the wrong section, I have always wanted to be able to move it. I'd like to be able to help and work with the fellow Oekaki Mods (and other staff members) to keep our area in check and easy for people to use. I'd love for people to feel like they could come to me if they wanted to ask a question or needed a topic moved, I'd always make myself available and have a friendly response.
Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position (this is not required) (for example have you had any experience in peer mediation? Have you had a ton of experience using the oekaki program?)
I wouldn't say I've had a ton of experience with Oekaki, but I've used it a lot and know how things worked, but if need be, I'd put time aside to learn more about it, or to figure out a problem.
Once you got to a certain year in my old school, you'd have to learn how to be a Peer Mediator, so I have had a few lessons on how to peer mediate people. I feel like I'm an easy to talk to person, and I'd be willing to help people if they had problems, and if for some reason the user of choice maybe wasn't so happy with my choice, I'd hear them out and then sort it out.

APPLICATON
1.What date did you register as a CS member?:

I registered on CS on the 28th of August, 2009.

2.How many posts have you made in the forum (at the time of applying):
I have made 11682 posts and counting.

3.How many days a week do you usually visit CS?
I usually visit CS everyday.

4.How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit?
On a week day, 4-5 hours. On weekends and holidays, from about 8-14 hours a day.

5.Have you moderated on any other forums before?
No I have not. I do have experience, however, from a few threads here on CS.

6.Have you ever used the CS oekaki to draw?
Yes, I have and do use the CS oekaki boards to draw. It's one of a few programmes that I use to draw with, and I find it more simple to use. Because of this I have more fun with it, and I find it a great place to not only create a drawing but to create a peice of art with meaning - where I can continue to grow as an artist and to also help others acheive their goals.

7.Do you ever spend much time browsing the oekaki board just to look at the art posted there?
Yes, I spend roughly 2-3 hours a day going through the oekaki board, sometimes more. I love seeing what people come up with, what makes their art no matter how experienced they are - a masterpeice. It's so relaxing looking at what people can come up with, how vast people's imaginations are that it captivates you and intrigues you.

I also go on their to help people with their art. I try to comment on peices where I can give pointers on how they can improve the peice, what I think went well, and to just generaly tell them that I like their idea's.

8.Why do you want to be an oekaki moderator for CS?

I would love to be a CS Oekaki moderator because Chicken Smoothie is a large part of my life and I would love to do more for the community on here. I want to help it grow and for it to be more than just ''The drawing part'' of CS which I have heard some people call it. It would be an honor to become an Oekaki Moderator because there are some occasions when I see peices that are in the wrong place, for example; A peice that should be in beginners when the artist put it in Intermediate. I would move their peice back, but then offer help and tips to nurture them into the artist they want to be by giving them information on the programme, how they could improve, and just general incouragement to keep their hopes up. I've been there where my work has been moved from one thread to the other and it may be a simple move for a Mod but for the artist it makes them feel like they are not good enough, and I think that if I were a Moderator for the CS Oekaki board, I could keep incouraging that even though their peice was moved that they can become one of the 'better' CS artists.

I would also love to help out the other Oekaki Moderators. They are doing an amazing job in keeping the Oekaki fourms family-friendly, organised, and a great place to be - but there must be times for them when it gets hard. If I become a CS Oekaki member, I will make sure that not only am I helping out the comunity but that I am also helping out the other Oekaki Moderators so that they can feel more relaxed and have a little bit of weight shifted off of their shoulders, making it more easier and fun for them.

9.Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position:
~ I have used Oekaki alot:
With a total of 860 oekaki's, I have had alot of experience with the oekaki program. With this knowledge, I can tell people how to use it, give them hints and tips about it, I can also help them improve with it, and I can also help them work Chibi Paint around them which is hard with most programs out there.

~ I am able to help people with their problems surrounding the Oekaki boards and the program:
As said above, I can help people with using the Oekaki's chibi paint. I can also help them with the boards so if an individual were to ask me; ''Why did my peice get moved to Beginner's Oekaki'' I will then explain but also help them improve their peice.

~ I am hard to annoy:
By saying this, I mean that if someone was to complain to me or they were to whine about their peice getting moved I will deal with it with a reasonable mannor. I will not be rude no matter how much an individual could be rude to me, and I will do my best to explain to them why whatever they were complaining about happened, what actions will be put into place, and I will give them hints and tips on how to avoid the problem in the future/help them.

~ I have been a student mentor for three years:
I have been a student mentor for three years at my highschool and there are plenty of students come over to me when they need help and I gladly find out the best solution to their problems. I try my hardest to help all sides of the problem, weather they be in the right or the wrong, and I deal with them in the best possible way I can.

~ I can spot art theift:
I have experienced art theift first hand and fortunatly it was dealt with immedietly and I was happy about that. I know what it is like to have someon claim your art/character is theirs when you know it is rightfully your own and with this experience I would be able to help others get back what is theirs and then deal with the theif accordingly.

~ I know the rules well:
After being a member on CS for three and a half years now, I know the rules well and so I will know weather or not a member is doing wrong or not. If I spot a member doing wrong I will act accordinly to what they have done, for example; if they have posted personal infomation on a post I would edit it so that their personal information remains anonymous, and if I were to see a drawing that is innapropriate for Chicken Smoothie I will then delete the post so that no one else will see it.

~ I am mature:
Drawings/posts that have alot of blood, violence, or are of an obscene nature do not bother me. I would not have a problem in seeing them, and I would make sure imediate action is taken in order to ge them taken down.

~ I am not quick to judge:
If someone was to PM me about an art theift going on, or someone being rude on the oekaki boards I will not imedietly give out a warning to that/those people. I will ask them for proof in order to come down to a fair judgement on the case at hand and the take the appropriate actions afterwards.

~ I am polite, yet serious:
Even though I am polite and friendly at all times, that does not mean that I will let things slip by. If someone does something against the CS rules I will make sure they receive a fair punishment for it - from a simple warning to a ban, depending on how servear the thing they did was.

Other:
I would just like to say thank you so very much for offering the chance to become a CS Oekaki moderator. I thank you for taking your time to look through my form and hope you do not get too stressed out with choosing the new Oekaki moderators :3.

I wish everyone luck, hope you all have a great day!

~L Lawliet.

What date did you register as a CS member?:
Mon Jan 07, 2013 2:50 pm well whats what it says on mine (I know it isn't 6 months you will see later why i want to be a mod so badly )
How many posts have you made in the forum (at the time of applying):
195 i think

How many days a week do you usually visit CS?
7

How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit?
bout 10 at the least sometimes 16
Have you moderated on any other forums before?
No

Have you ever used the CS oekaki to draw?
Yes sadly mine isn't working right now it just keeps loading and loading ( please fix that prob tess )
Do you ever spend much time browsing the oekaki board just to look at the art posted there?
Yes i love the art on there.
Why do you want to be an oekaki moderator for CS?
Well i love drawing, i have bin since I was 4 ( Im 10 right now if that makes any difference) I have been seeing people on the oekaki posting rude comments but i don't want to get in the middle of it but if i was a mod i could just send them a message like " Hey please don't post comments like that anymore " .
Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position (this is not required) (for example have you had any experience in peer mediation? Have you had a ton of experience using the oekaki program?)
No. Maybe like a tiger print?? Yes i have had experience with the oekakai.

I know you probably won't accept this in here but i go on cs like all day.

Im sorry for bothering you Tess, I know you won't accept this, but just remember your awesome :)

( I don't think I posted this yet )

Plus im mature and kind :)
