It's taken me three years of practice so far before I've gotten my drawing to this level, and honestly, it's still pretty bad compared to some anime style drawings.

Gawsh three years!? O_O I should have started to draw in like 3rd grade..... I started drawing people literally yesterday (just the basic figure and hair) I've been drawing animals for quite a while now. (Mostly ponies, wolves, and horses) Just to think its going to take till I'm in the last year of high school to draw that good :p

Well, yes, but thats without looking at references, how to draw anime, ect. It's also not constant practice, and I'm more used to drawing animals, plus, i draw much better than this on paper. (> don't be discouraged or anything, you will probably excel at a faster rate than me, anyway.
