What date did you register as a CS member?: I first joined on Tue Apr 17, 2012 4:56 pm.
How many posts have you made in the forum (at the time of applying): (if it's less than 300, do not apply) I have made 1847 at this point.
How many days a week do you usually visit CS? I'll be on CS 7 days a week, you can count on that~
How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit?
Somewhere between 6-10. I'm on CS a lot, sometimes even until 12 PM at night! School interfears sometimes, but not a lot. Actually, I usually come on CS on interval and lunch break!
Have you moderated on any other forums before?
I was a moderator on a Warriors websight, however the database crashed and the owner was forced to take it down. Since then, I have always wanted to become a mod again, and to help in any ways I can.
Have you ever used the CS oekaki to draw?
Yes, I have, but not as much as I would like. I usually draw on more complicated places like Pain.net, though I will be drawing a lot more now that I have a new tablet! Yay!
Do you ever spend much time browsing the oekaki board just to look at the art posted there?
I spend most of my time on the Oekaki boards, looking through and reporting rule-breaking posts. I love to admire how good people are at drawing, and wish that some day I can draw that well as well. When wanted, I will help give critique, though usually I am just there to praise and favorite the pictures.
Why do you want to be an oekaki moderator for CS?
I've always loved to help people out, and it has been my dream to be a moderator.. I have no idea why. Chicken smoothie has always been my favorite game, and I've always stood in the corner, admiring all the staff members on here. Now I think is the perfect opertunaty to stand up and help in the game that I like best. I like to be a leader, and help people out when or where they need it, or just remind people of the rules but doing so in a way that is not like "OMG YOU BROKE A RULE AHHHAHAHA YOU SO BAD". Although at times I may seem stern, I'm rather affectionate and kind. This is a great way to help me get to know more about chicken smoothie then I already know. The Oekaki board is and always has been my favorite, for one, it is one of the few places COPPA can post, for two, there are so many nice people there posting work they can be proud of. I know what it is like to have a moderator comment on your post- very thrilling, and spirit-raising. Being active on all the oekaki boards, I want people to feel the same thrill I felt when that first happened. Having a younger sister myself, I know what is too much when it goes by the way of blood or "Showing too much", so can help people understand what is too much there too.
Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position (this is not required) (for example have you had any experience in peer mediation? Have you had a ton of experience using the oekaki program?)
1. I have spent many hours in the Oekaki, sometimes just scribbling around and practicing art (These are usually not posted, but kept to myself to see my improvement) so I know where everything is, and what things to.
2. I can be strict/firm, but nice. I'm not afraid to stand up for myself, or other members, but I know when to stop.
3. I am able to cope with a lot of blood and/or mature references. I have Science and Health to blame for this..
4. I love helping others get around, or claim rights when they have been wronged, such as no signature, or copied work.
5. I am fluent in more then one language, even if it is a little rusty here and there.
6. I have been involved with peer mediation. I've helped out a number of people deal with life situations, and are a shoulder for people to lean on if they need it. I have worked with people from the age of 7 through 15 via skype and face book. I've also helped with peer meditation in primary.
7. I've been an Judicator ((Sp?)) in Debate, so I am able to take in both halves of an argument and their points, without looking at my own personal thoughts.
8. I'm on at unusual hours, meaning times that most people are not. This is both an advantage and disadvantage; advantage because it means I can help people out of the hours our American and European mods are usually on, disadvantage because I often miss the most crowded times.
Thank you for reading.
