How many posts have you made in the forum (at the time of applying):
Almost 4000, 3926 to be exact.

How many days a week do you usually visit CS?
I try to come on every day, unless I have homework, or another event coming up. Usually, though, I'm on every day.

How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit?
Anywhere from 2-8 Hours daily, unless I have an event that day, though I will still try my best to get on.

Have you moderated on any other forums before? If so, please link to them
I am an admin and moderator on This site, and This site.
I have also moderated different Roleplays on CS, though I do not think these count.

6.Have you ever used the CS oekaki to draw?
Yes, I oftenly will draw just for fun, or color in editable Oekaki's in the Editable board.

Do you ever spend much time browsing the oekaki board just to look at the art posted there?
Yes, I love looking at other people's artwork just for fun. When I am not roleplaying, or dressing up my pets, I will oftenly spend my time searching through other people's drawings.

Why do you want to be an oekaki moderator for CS?
Well, I honestly think there are people that deserve this position more then me, though since a new oppertunity to become a CS Oekaki Moderater came up, I decided I would try out for it. I love looking at the different drawings on the Oekaki, and would love to participate more in keeping it a clean, kid-friendly area of CS. I also love to help people, and if someone needs help, I will be there for them, and try my best to answer their questions.
I also enjoy to look at art, and will oftenly spend some of my time on the Oekaki board, just skimming through the different drawings, and I will sometimes comment on them.

Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position (this is not required) (for example have you had any experience in peer mediation? Have you had a ton of experience using the oekaki program?)
Last year, I went to visit an Elementary School with my friend, and we spoke to the 5th graders about how it was like to be a Middle Schooler. We stood in front of the class, and gave them a speech about Middle School, and helped them get rid of any fears they had possibly had. We also helped them answer any questions they needed help with, and some of us turned out to be good friends afterwards.
I also am very familiar with the Oekaki, though I don't use it all the time. I know what all the tools do, and how to use them as well.

What date did you register as a CS member?

March 20th, 2012
Almost a whole year on this amazing site <3

How many posts have you made in the forum (at the time of applying)

2,491

How many days a week do you usually visit CS?

Every day, unless I am grounded

How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit?

3 on weekdays, 6 on weekends.
I would stay for much longer, but alas, my parents put a limit.

Have you moderated on any other forums before? If so, please link to them
No, but I hope for this to be my first time. Everything starts with something.

Have you ever used the CS oekaki to draw?

Yes. Actually, I have used it a lot. I am gonna start trying it with my tablet, because I used to use a touch pad. It will get getting used to.

Do you ever spend much time browsing the oekaki board just to look at the art posted there?

Yes, the art there can be beautiful and great, some just spam. Its really amazing to see the wide variety of artists on CS.

Why do you want to be an Oekaki moderator for CS?

Well, I have always been a rule- savvy person. I love making sure everything stays non-spammed and safe. Its always been an irk of mine, and I don't want to spam myself when I post.....
If I become a mod, I could help the CS Oekaki stay safe and clean. I would love to do this for the site <3.

Also... I have never said this but..
CS is my hero. Tess, nick. all the mods. My greatest dream is to join them one day as a CS admin or mod. This is my chance to join this amazing site. It would be such an honor to moderate for CS <33
So thank you for giving me and everyone else this amazing chance <3

Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position

Well, I have always been a rule-freak. It seems like a natural urge to moderate. Along with this, I love to draw on the Oekaki. I would call myself a beginner, but every great artist started there!
Also, in a serious situation, I can be quite literate and aware of other's feelings. It is a quirk of mine to be mindful of others, and in warning members about breaking the rules, that could be the difference between a huge fight and a calm conversation.

-

Good luck to everyone! An early congrats to those who make the spot <3

(My apologies if I wasn't aloud to edit.)

How many posts have you made in the forum (at the time of applying):

How many days a week do you usually visit CS?
I visit CS everyday when I have time ^^ Which is quite often.

How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit?
I spend approximately 5-8 hours on CS when I visit.
Have you moderated on any other forums before? If so, please link to them
Sadly no I have not, but I have a mod for threads around CS [Although I don't think that counts.]
Have you ever used the CS oekaki to draw?
Yes, but I am not very good at it.
Do you ever spend much time browsing the oekaki board just to look at the art posted there?
Honestly, I do. I like to search around there quite often and admire peoples art work. Since I collect characters around here, looking for new artists to draw them is very important.

Why do you want to be an oekaki moderator for CS?
I think it would be a job I enjoy doing. I like CS, and have been visiting CS everyday for the past year, and never once felt like I've lost interest in it. I also mentioned earlier that I often just search around the oekaki for fun, and now I could have another, more important reason to do so. I enjoy helping people, and trying to solve problems. [Since I have fallen victim to buying stolen chars, or had my chars stolen, I can try and help the people who either get their char stolen, or people who have attempted art theft.] I can also help people understand the importance of not copying others art/characters [some people don't understand this yet, because they could be young.] since they belong to someone else, and I can easily stay calm in a situation if someone gets upset about being confronted, or refuses to hide something that could be taken as offensive.

Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position (this is not required) (for example have you had any experience
in peer mediation? Have you had a ton of experience using the oekaki program?)
I don't have a TON of knowledge when it comes to the Oekaki, but I have some knowledge of it, and can help some members if they are having trouble. I also have been/still am a peer mediator at my school. I like to/enjoy helping others with problems, and have no problem taking something down/denying something if it happens to cause any problems.

I thank you so much for this opportunity :) And for your time, looking over my form <3

APPLICATON for...

ImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImage

1.) What date did you register as a CS member?: (if it's less than 6 months ago, do not apply)

~ I joined Chicken Smoothie on July 26, 2011, because I thought it looked like a great site for communticating and meeting friends, along with portraying your art and collecting pets.

2.) How many posts have you made in the forum (at the time of applying): (if it's less than 300, do not apply)

~ I've posted 24,021 in the forums, which is 41.34 posts per day.

3.) How many days a week do you usually visit CS?

~ I'm on all days of the week! This goes for Sunday-Saturday, Eastern Standard Time. The only time I may not be on is when I'm on vacation, but I always notify you in my signature.

4.) How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit?

~ Hmmm.... This usually depends, since I have sports and school. On weekends I'm on about 6 hours in a day, and weekdays are about 4 hours a day. I try to get on as often as I can, but my personal life does come first, followed by, of course, CS.

5.) Have you moderated on any other forums before? If so, please link to them

~ Nope, I have not moderated anything, yet! I hope to start moderating, as I love Chicken Smoothie! Even thought I haven't moderated before I usually like to give people a little reminder on the rules if they aren't following them. C:

6.) Have you ever used the CS oekaki to draw?

~ Yes, I have. I have 130 pictures in the Oekaki currently, spanning from two years ago to now. I colored in 84 pictures, have 35 Beginner's Oekaki, 7 Editable Oekaki, 1 Oekaki for a Competition, 1 Adoptable pet, 1 Created Pet, and 1 Entry. I really enjoy using Oekaki, as I never really get to potray and show my art around in real life!

7.) Do you ever spend much time browsing the oekaki board just to look at the art posted there?

~ All the time! Even though I may not post comments and critiques on them, I love to check in on my favorite artits along with searching for some great new ones.

8.) Why do you want to be an oekaki moderator for CS?

~ I want to be an oekaki moderator because I'm always on Chicken Smoothie and want to help around with the site. I may not be the best candidate, but I promise to do the best job I can, always. I'm very calm and collective, and serious in tough situations. I know I can get the job done, and I hope you understand that as well. I'm also a very fun person, so don't think I'm Miss Serious all the time! I'm not like that! I love joking around and also love to comment on artwork. I also like to give tips for making people better as well!

9.) Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position (this is not required) (for example have you had any experience in peer mediation? Have you had a ton of experience using the oekaki program?)

~ I am a calm girl, very mature for my age. I know whenever you need help with a difficult person or a tough situation, I'll be there. I know how to use the materials, and have played around with them before. I'm a great leader, but can also work and interact with peers just fine. Nothing is ever too overwhelming to me. I've had 12+ years working with people and talking around with them. I love art, and the idea of just expressing yourself through it. I love to get out my emotions, and I know art can do it. I hope you put me into your perspective and understand how much I want this job.

APPLICATON
What date did you register as a CS member?:
Tue Jun 15, 2010 2:00 pm

How many posts have you made in the forum: 4246

How many days a week do you usually visit CS? Every day if I can.

How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit? As long as I can usually around 7-8 hours weekdays, all day weekends.

Have you moderated on any other forums before? If so, please link to them
I've modded for a few things on here, and owned a few species
Modded for FGAs, Modded SGAs, Modding for Newtons, Modded/ing for Kangdeeroo. Halcyon Labryrinthineand I hope to continue modding c:
I've also made two adoptables
Tanuki
LDAs
Have you ever used the CS oekaki to draw? Oh yeah I've used it tons of times.

Do you ever spend much time browsing the oekaki board just to look at the art posted there? Yep, I like to see what things people come up with or just the mood they're feeling as well as just looking at the art.

Why do you want to be an oekaki moderator for CS? I've loved to help out where I can on CS, and I've gotten to know the site pretty well, of course there will always be the parts that I don't understand perfectly but we're only human. Anyways I've gotten plenty of experience but I'd love to continue modding. Nothing really bothers me so I think I'd be suitable for the job and I'd just really love to be able to help out more and keep CS a family site. Also when I was newer to the site I used to be too intimidated to try and draw on Oekaki because of all the other really good artist, I know it sounds weird, but I don't want others to be discouraged to try their hand at the Oekaki forms. I know this may sound cheesy but ever since I joined and saw the moderators working hard at their job it inspired me and I really wanted to be like them to help out members and keep order among the forms.

Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position?
Well, I'm very patient and I've grown to understand the basic psychology of people so I know some of the main reasons people do things, and I tend to know how to act with them. Also it's very hard to get me mad as most days I've got a very controlled temper. Also even if I'm having a bad day, I don't just let it all out on anyone who comes near me, I talk to friends while I calm down, though on those days I may be a little irritable, I know how to control myself.
I also don't overreact over things as I really don't care what others say about me, it's their problem not mine, so I try not to get involved with that stuff as I also try not to talk behind others backs because I've been in that position so if I see something that hints that I usually try and step up and fix it before any fights or stuff happen. About peer mediation, sadly I've experienced it quite a bit so I know what to do when that starts up.
Also I've had tons of opportunities to take care of children 10-, I know the behavior and attitudes that are most likely to occur with what response, and I know how to handle a lot of the things they say, usually if they call me something I just let it off my mind but I do chastise them for inappropriate behaviour but I make sure I do it properly and don't go over the top and even if the people I have to deal with aren't 10- I've got a pretty good idea with how to talk with them.

How many posts have you made in the forum (at the time of applying):
7730, I love chatting with my friends here :)
How many days a week do you usually visit CS?
Every day, it's the website I stay on most, but I do have to take some time off for personal life reasons too.
How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit?
It varies, average is 3 hours daily.
Have you moderated on any other forums before?
No, I have not, unfortunately, but I would find it a great experience to meet more people and to help people :)
Have you ever used the CS oekaki to draw?
Yes, although I don't draw as often as I used to, I like using it when I have ideas in my head I'd like to put to use ^^
Do you ever spend much time browsing the oekaki board just to look at the art posted there?
Yes, very often, I love looking at how the people from times before me have improved and this gives me great inspiration for me to continue in improving my own artwork!
Why do you want to be an oekaki moderator for CS?
I would like to be an Oekaki Moderator for ChickenSmoothie because I find that it would be a great learning experience in handling rough situations casually. Although I may not seem serious (By looking through my posts you can tell I'm a bit of a joker) at times, I do handle things maturely and fairly if order goes out. I also like recieving critique and friendly comments on my artwork, as it helps me in my journey of improving and becoming more skillful. It is wonderful seeing the lovely art on these boards, and I love to compliment other people's work, and hand out some /constructive/ critique if necessary! It would be of great pleasure of me to have the honour of being a moderator for the board I find the most warming and comforting when I need to escape my problems.
I do go to a semi-private school, and I know what it's like to be around people who cuss and swear too much. I have developed a good censory of finding inappropriate/stolen artwork from school- and browsing these forums, too. I know people do often make mistakes, and there is such thing as coincidence, so I can handle things smoothly and calm if someone were to make a mistake. i.e, misplacing a reference.

I would be most honoured if I were to have ability to help my friends, and the just people of CS that have been in a case of theft or abuse. I have been stolen from many times before, and I know how depressing it is. You can create something overnight to have it destroyed by morning.

Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position?
I have once been a peer mediator in primary school, and I managed to handle things nicely, although that was probably around a decade or so ago. I would find this a nice experience, and thank you for the opportunity and consideration of my application! <3

just so i can find my form easily heheh

Re: Oekaki Moderator Applications NOW OPEN

Postby Pachoopi » Wed Feb 27, 2013 12:58 pm

I freaked out when I had heard Oekaki moderator applications were open. I've always wanted a staff position like this, so I couldn't pass up the chance to try. Thank you so much for this opportunity! <33

What date did you register as a CS member?:
Sunday November 20, 2011.

How many posts have you made in the forum (at the time of applying):
2219.

How many days a week do you usually visit CS?
Most often 6 or 7.

How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit?
Anywhere from 2 to 6 hours.

Have you moderated on any other forums before? If so, please link to them:
Yep, the Orange Ranch Forums; I am the administrator there. c:

Have you ever used the CS oekaki to draw?
Yup. <3

Do you ever spend much time browsing the oekaki board just to look at the art posted there?
Yup, in fact that is one of the main reasons I log onto CS each day. :D

Why do you want to be an oekaki moderator for CS?
I literally fell out of my chair when I saw Oekaki Moderators applications were open. I absolutely love drawing, and have done so ever since I could pick up a pencil. I especially love digital art, and have a firm knowledge of the Oekaki and how it works. I love seeing all the wonderful art that is posted each day, and to draw on the Oekaki in my free time. I love helping others, and this would be the perfect way to do so.
The main reason I log onto Chickensmoothie each day is to draw and browse the Oekaki boards, and it would be absolutely amazing to be an Oekaki moderator so I can help others out around the Oekaki.

Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position?
I am an avid Oekaki user, and spend most of my time at the Oekaki when on CS, drawing and browsing the Oekaki. I enjoy seeing all the wonderful art posted here, and love helping out with anything Oekaki and art-related. I am very familiar with the Oekaki rules and how the Oekaki works. I am skilled in calmly mediating arguments, and do not let my stress or frustration get the best of me. I try to avoid bias at all times, and to consider each side of an argument equally before coming to decisions. I understand that not everything that is posted on the Oekaki will be child-friendly, and am prepared to help out and keep the Oekaki boards a friendly and fun place for all ages whenever I can. Being an Oekaki Moderator would mean the world to me, as I love art, and I would love to be able to help out, answer questions, and keep the Oekaki the fun, family-friendly place it was meant to be.

Thank you for considering me. c: I'm sure however this turns out, the Oekaki Mods will be wonderful. <3
