Jayflight padded into camp, two lifeless voles hanging limp by the tail from her jaws. She placed her kills carefully on the tip of the fresh-kill pile, careful not to make it tumble with the weight she was adding onto it. There, not be anti-social for once; check that off the list, she thought to herself.

Darkstar pads over to the she-cat, "Nice catch." He dips his head.

Jayflight nearly jumped out of her fur as she heard a familiar voice ring through her ears and down the conflicting shafts of her mind, and she snapped her head up, not recognizing her clan leader for a moment. Her eyes showed she was dazed for a moment, but she hastily shook her head and snapped herself out of it so she wouldn't make a fool of herself in front of Darkstar. "Thank you, Darkstar."

"Could you do something for me? I figured that since you are the medicine cat, you could see if Russetleap is expecting our kits." Thorntail tried hard to make his words not sound awkward.

Darkstar nods, "How early were you up?" The dark tom asks, sitting down.

Silentgaze nods, "I'll check now." She mutters and trots out, scenting the air for the she-cat. The young medicine cat quickly finds her and trots over, running her paws over her belly. "I would assume 3." She says and dips her head to the tom and she-cat. "May Starclan bless these kits." She says and flicks her tail, trotting away and disappearing around the crack and into the rock crevice.

"Since a little while before the dawn patrol left," Jayflight murmured, shifting her paws about in the dirt. "I couldn't sleep," she explained, her voice hushed.
