{{ *puts on best Elvis voice* This post goes out to... Paparoach && Lexie! I'd just like to thank Black Veil Brides, because listening to In the End helped this post form. Thank you; I will now die. }}
toto
Toto wasn’t your ordinary boy. Surely, dear reader, you would probably have already gathered that information from reading of his early morning going-to-the-principal discipline. But, you had to remember; this was the boy who would never leave a place until he was completely done with perfectly creating chaos, disorder, and panic. And that is what he planned to do.
He flashed Cheyanne his cockiest grin. “Ah, come on, not even a black eye?” He joked, slinging a friendly arm around her shoulder—this act wasn’t in a protective or even harassing way. It was just what he normally did. He was comfortable enough around Cheyanne to probably tell her everything going on his personal life. But he hadn’t, had he? She knew his family was out of whack, to do his mom and his six other siblings gone in Italy. And he and his dad, still here. But he knew she didn’t know the whole story. The thought of telling her gave him an almost queasy feeling deep in the pit of his stomach. She would know he was just your average kid suffering from a past trauma.
They strolled casually down the hallway, Toto making jokes the whole away about their biology teacher, Mr. Bumpelswig, who oddly looked like he was pregnant. Toto made a guess that it w as a beer belly. It was then when they found the exit where Toto let go of her and they both tumbled outside, away from the crazy crowd within. “So… what’s his name, anyway?” He felt something strain in his voice right there, but he quickly covered it up by turning away and coughing into his fist. He quietly apologized and when he looked back up, it was then when he saw the other boy.
Josh’s eyes stared blankly at the other boy... and yet, he was able to put on an almost convincible smirk like he was happy to meet him for the very first time. But this wasn’t his first encounter. Many years ago, before Toto had even met Cheyanne... he had once had a friend. A dark haired, blue eyed boy. They had been friends because they’re fathers were friends. But one sunset, while the grownups were inside and Toto and Shadow were outside, playing tag, Toto’s father was suddenly shouting from the porch, pointing angrily at his friend’s father. The very next morning, while meeting each other on the playground, they insulted each other for their own father hates the other’s, and so, they got into a fight. A black eye there, a kick in the crotch there; and soon they were doing horrible, twisted stuff to each other. Sneaking into each other’s houses; triggering water buckets above doors; a pile of worms under a pillow; heck, you name it.
“Well, long time, no see, Mr. Sixx,” he called, skipping merrily across the small distance between them. He smiled, stopped, and leaned in through the window. He got a whiff of the smoke and jerked back, coughing. “Well! The holy calf in gold! That, my dear, is dangerous. Harmful for the lungs, deadly to the body, and addicting to the soul.” He winked, before looking over his shoulder at Cheyanne. “This is your guy? This is Shadow.” He shook his head, amazed by the sight of his long-lost friend/enemy. He then turned his voice quiet enough for Cheyanne to not over hear as she made her away over to them. His eyes went dark for just an instant. “If you even so much as think about hitting her, I’ll come to your house… and I will kill you. I swear. She’s been with enough guys whose only intention was to either harm her or to use her.” He leaned back, serious. “I warn you, don’t do either.” Then, he put on a fake happy face again when she came over. “Ah, joy. Nice guy you have here.”
