Snowstar1, Echo seems kinda lonely xD Where is she? If you want I could have a charrie find her ^-^ Same with Matina, MirrorMask n.n)
Renn jumped the two foot gap from the ground to the floor of the old trailer home, the glass slide door that used to belong there long gone. Blinking her green eyes to adjust to the dark, she padded forward, her lungs filling with the musty air. She padded toward one of the low cherry wood cabinets that was still in generally good shape, after what she had stowed inside. Pushing the wood door open with her nose, she pawed at the flimsy slat of cheap wood that had been used as the bottom for it, the silver chain that she wore around her paw clinking, & pushed it aside to reveal a clean linoleum floor, free of dust & dirt, & a thick bone, with good meat still clinging to it. She took it in her mouth, jumping onto the torn up couch & beginning to gnaw on it.
.....
Renn jumped to the ground, her silver-grey paws kicking up the loose dust. Glancing around, she padded south toward the town, not planning to come back to her former temporary home; an ancient trailer, stranded in the middle of nowhere.Kade padded toward the mall, pitch black tail held up, his stance proud & cocky, although he was slightly... cautious? Although he was not nervous... no, not really even cautious... Just aware. He had street sense, & a dog would have to be blind & deaf to be able to live here & not know of the war that was going on, & blind deaf dogs didn't last long. Even though the gangs had quieted, & though he was a loner, Kade always kept his senses on watch, even in neutral territories such as the mall. He knew he could stand his own in an attack with two or three dogs, but if more than that were to ambush him it was up to the circumstances, & the dogs.
Kade passed through the entrance to the mall, looking around. He saw no one, which wasn't a huge surprise, although it was a popular place to go. He padded past the abandoned restraunts & cafes, his claws clicking softly on the hard floor. Among the faint scents of humans, food, and the other normal scents a mall would have, he also could scent another dog, & nearby at that, although it didn't smell aggressive. (lols, can scent tell you that?)
Jade stretched & flicked her light chocolate colored ear, padding outside the abandoned human house, with it's yellow paint that had begun to chip & overgrown green grass. Personally, she liked the neighborhood better wild than when the humans had been here. The manicured lawns & shrubs had been boring, the grass sharp & bristly, & every house was perfect, with a perfect lawn, on a perfect street, in a perfect, cozy little suburb. Nothing out of place, nothing to unexpected. Even though the houses all looked different, & all had had different residents, & different scents about them, it had been boring. Of course, it was a human place, so she supposed she couldn't really expect any more than that. She trotted down the street, headed for the corner store for something to eat. (... what time of day is it?)
(wow... I wonder where my sudden ability to have long posts came from O.O Even if they are filled with filler crap. I think Cherry & Snowstar can tell you, this is pure miracle we're working with here...)
