Ｄａｒｋｃｌａｎ {Ｓｅｍｉ-Ｌｉｔ} Ａｃｃｅｐｔｉｎｇ

"I don't think any of us should really be out of camp until we're better." Sunpaw mewed in reply. "Foxpaw's being a mouse-brain."

[despairz]

"He should have to clean the elders for ticks. It was a dumb idea for him to go find a flower that might not even exist. He should really listen to the medicine cat." Flintpaw sighs.

[EO+RS]

Sunpaw nodded distractedly. "I wonder how he's doing..." she said. She continued "I mean, he left wounded and practically untreated, Starclan knows what happened." She stared off into space.

[despairz]

Flintpaw gazed at her, trying to read her expression. "You like Foxpaw, don't you?" He asks, furrowing his brow.

[EO+RS]

"I like you and Rainpaw too. If you did something mousebrained like Foxpaw I'd worry about you as well." said Sunpaw, face carefully blank.

[despairz]

"Nevermind." He mutters and rises to his paws, limping from the den which he was almost too big to get out of.

[EO+RS]

"That's hardly a fair question." protested Sunpaw, torn. She was hurt that Flintpaw was taking it this way, and it wasn't like anything had happened, yet. Yet. The word floated across Sunpaw's mind. The day before, she had felt too young for this sort of conversation. She still did. Hurt, she curled up in her nest and tried to figure herself out.

Flintpaw felt bad about accusing Sunpaw of liking Foxpaw more than him, but it was time for him to tell her how he really feels, even if she didn't feel the same way. They were gonna be warriors soon, and that means feelings starts to stir...

[EO+RS]

Sunpaw tightened into a ball, wondering why Flintpaw had been so accusatory about her feelings. Was it wrong to like Foxpaw more? she vowed never to speak of her feelings out loud until she was a warrior. Maybe then she could figure them all out. She had felt so clear before, like each friendship was a vine between her and her denmates. Then thoughts and words, hers and other cats', had floated by and twisted them this way and that, fraying ends and tangling vines, until she hardly knew which way was up. And she couldn't figure out why Flintpaw was so upset by the thought that she liked Foxpaw more then him. Of course she didn't... didn't she? Utterly confused, she lay there with bewildering thoughts crossing her mind, unable to sort them out.

Flintpaw closes his eyes and pads from camp, ripping the cobwebs from his throat. He needed to get his mind off everything, so he would hunt. Blood rolls from his neck, flattening his fur and dripping down onto the spongey forest floor.
