Chako snarled and ran into a tree, bashing his head against the hard bark.

The dog died. ((X3)) The other dogs turned and ran for their lives, afraid of Chako now.

Chiyo stumbled to his paws and ran after the pack, but he was too slow to catch up. "Wait!" He cried, feeling tears form in his eyes. They had just left him here with the scary wolves.

Fuji had gone unconscious from blood loss.

Chako ran to Fuji, then jumped into the river and grabbed her leg. She nosed it up to the spot it was severed. Then, she let her demon side take over to heal the wound. The leg reattached itself and Chako turned to Chiyo, saying softly, "You don't need those bastards. They did enough to you already."

From the bushes, there was a loud yelp. A moment later, Karrie staggered out of the bushes, bleeding heavily. One of the dogs that had fleed had caught her unaware and attacked her. She stumbled and slumped on the ground.

Willow stood, frozen. She looked from Fuji to Karrie and back again, torn. Should she save her own mother, or the adopted pup of the crazy she-wolf who would probably kill her if Fuji died?

Chiyo whined and watched the dogs run away, feeling heartbroken that they had just left him here. He looked at Willow and saw that she was torn between helping two wolves...He limped up to Willow and sniffed her, then looked up at her with his big eyes. "Me help?" He asked quietly.

Chako jumped to Fuji's defense and barked, "Willow! Defend your mother, I have Fuji!" She turned to the enemy and snarled, blood dripping from her muzzle.

Chako nudged Chiyo to Fuji and said, "Stay behind me". She turned again to the enemy and charged them. She didn't open her jaws until she saw the whites of their eyes. Then, blood splattered the ground, painting the grass red and Chako's muzzle fur became dark and sticky. (Eww XD)

Chiyo whined and hid behind Fuji, frightened of the remaining dogs. A big brown dog grabbed Chiyo by his back leg and picked him up. "You're not running away, kid." He growled, starting to walk off with the tiny pup.

"PUT ME DOWN!!" Chiyo cried, struggling to get out of the dog's grip. The dog snarled and slammed Chiyo in to the ground, which made his nose bleed. The poor pup struggled harder, but the evil dog threw him to the ground and pinned him down, digging his claws in to the chihuahua's chest. Chiyo cried harder, frantically kicking at thin air as pain surged through his tiny puppy body...Would he ever escape this hell? Being tortured in to doing things that were impossible to him?

Another dog had snuck out of Chako's sight and helped the dog that was hurting Chiyo to torture the poor pup, loving to hear him cry. "Come on, you bratty kid! Get up!" He snickered, pulling on the chihuahua's front paw. The other dog grabbed Chiyo's tail and pulled too, laughing as the pup screamed in agony. They swung him from side to side and let him go, making him hit a tree. As he slumped down on the ground, they grabbed him again and threw him in to the river. The brown dog that had tried to take Chiyo away trotted up to the pup, who was floating in the river and pushed him down with a paw. He laughed and sat on top of him, while the other dog rolled around laughing as the poor puppy struggled helpessly to get away. He then stood up and smacked his paw down on Chiyo's muzzle, keeping it shut.

Rako whined and crept out of the bushes he had been hiding under. He grabbed some herbs and started to work on Fuji as Willow had shown him. He put pressure on the wounds and wrapped it up, applying some herbs for the blood and to stop infection. "Fuji nuu dee. Rako lewk aftr." (Fuji no die. Rako look after.)
