What is a Easter Island Dorun?

Doru are a strange canid appearing species that was discovered by myself on Easter Island when I was visiting for a research trip with a friend of mine, though only shortly after he discovered an untouched Moai that was hidden deep beneath the waves that surrounded the island. I kept the discovery a closely held secret that I only shared with my closest friends who I knew I could trust; Fearing that other scientists would come and violate the creature and its habitat had I made the announcement of my discovery. I bring them to you now, So they are protected from scientists that may come along and discover their existence, and use them for experiments.

Personality: Storm is a sweet and gentle Doru who only harms others to protect someone he loves. He is very level-headed and fair but is also courageous and brave. Some think he is a pushover because of how gentle and sweet he is but he wouldn't do anything that was wrong or that would hurt someone. Animals flock to Storm because he makes them feel a sense of security and calms their nerves. If a human is every thinking malicious thoughts, Storm will sense them and try and rid the human of those thoughts but if that fails, he will make sure the human doesn't hurt anything or anyone. All in all, Storm is kind, compassionate, caring, gentle, level-headed, big-hearted, strong-willed, brave, courageous, loyal, and just a big sweet-heart. He is also quite shy.
