The child sighed as she watched her brother rush upstairs. For some reason, he always said that and came back after an hour or two. It was more or less a tradition of his to be late somehow. Imagine her surprise when he appeared out of the blue only a few minutes after all set to go with everything that was needed. Rather than being glad, it only told the girl that something else was begin forgotten, perhaps more important, yet she gave it no thought as a pair of mittens was thrown to her. Putting them on quickly, she then took the coat handed to her and shoved it on. It was rather long, yet it still possessed that vile smell, the one Haze disliked the most. The scent of war. Be it for ceremonies or for the battlefield, all clothing involved in such events connected to war smelled the same. The despicable odor of sorrow and death that would remind the soldier why he was in the place he was standing was embedded within the treads that locked together. The girl did not have a personal distaste of the smell, she could stand pretty much anything that hit her nose, but what she found unpleasing was the fact that it was a reminder of the harsh times her sibling had to go through and the pain he had to feel. If possible, she wanted to erase all the memories that could make Daisuke suffer or to at least help him when needed, but he shuck off and changed the subject whenever more description was needed on it. Deciding that if she did not speak of the war she could not remember, perhaps he would forget eventually as well. Putting the buttons through the holes neatly in place, Haze smiled.
"Should we hit the first person we see outside?" she asked.

Daisuke laughed and said, 'yeah! We'll do that. Unless it's Tetsu... No, even if it's Tetsu.' And he walked outside, but saw no one immediately, so he shrugged and said, 'better luck next time, then. But wait... Now I'm the first person you see outside and you're the first person I see outside, right?' He laughed slightly. 'But we won't fight, okay? We'll just make a snowman.' Because he knew that he would really get into a fight once it had started, even if it was an innocent snowball fight and he didn't want to hurt Haze. 'Just start making a ball of snow by rolling a small ball over the ground.' He said and he started doing just that, to create the body of the snowman, while he wathced Haze and made sure she wouldn't hurt herself.

'sounds good!' Taiji said, 'I'd love to go to Europe again! Did I ever tell ya that I met my best friend there? The guy's dead now, alright, but he died the way he wanted to. He was a really nice man, though he had many problems, so one would really have to look into that guy's soul to see his true nature.' He smiled, thinking about it. 'Anyway... About a boy for ya? Maybe Die... Because he's strong and can protect you, plus he's nice for girls. Or someone like Kamijo, very passionate and loving...'

Haze's senses perked up as a colder wind hit her as she walked outside. The weather was perfect. Grey clouds sew tightly together the sky's veil and the land was covered with a thick layer of white wool, which, however, was made of beautiful ice crystals that resembled little stars. The sudden thought of having a snowball fight with her brother passed by but her consciousness could not imagine such a thing as going against him in any way, even if it were a simple game. Whatever they played, they had always been on one team, except those times one of the two was stubborn and did something as a joke to the other. The suggestion to make a snowman pleased her much more and she quickly bent over and replicated the movements she saw to make a ball and rolled it in the snow to make it bigger. It was a bit of a struggle, since her hands were not that big and the snowball grew barely. Making a cute annoyed face, she concentrated and tried to hurry up and build it up. And yet one thing distracted her. It was that strange essence that came a little before a certain person appeared. His arrival meant either something interesting or troublesome occurred. He was one of the few people Haze could not clearly understand the ways of not because he was mysterious, but due to the fact that his reasons and ways were inconstant. Hearing a loud slipping noise behind her, the girl rose up and looked up.
"The cat?" she said in question.

Having gotten bored from his stroll in the library, the Versailles 'cat' had decided to take his afternoon business up on the roof. He was a rather athletic, yet moreover lucky guy, who never seemed to get hurt, regardless of the stunts he pulled. Looking at the area from above, he assessed the view in front of him. Quiet woodland with only a few birds daring to to disturb the silence. Hats of snow on the treetops. Cloudy still sky. A serenity typical of a winter's day. It was an utter disaster for him. Bored to the point of irritation, the youngster felt like he could even go to the extent of hitting someone in order to make this monotone span of time interesting. As he walked atop the roof, his blue gaze spotted two figures below and instantly recognized them. If we had to be honest, looking wasn't necessary. Only listening would be enough to distinguish Daisuke's loud voice and his red hair made him even more evident.
"Well, first come, first serve." the blue-haired boy sighed with a smirk.
Leaping quite hard on the snow that had accumulated caused a chain reaction, making a large chunk of it, about 2/3 of what had built up, break away and fall right on top of Daisuke.
"If you want to play in the snow, how about you cover that flamy red hair of yours, you Diru oaf" he laughed loudly.

Daisuke laughed somewhat when seeing his sister busy like that and it made him feel happy. He then heard what Haze heard a few seconds later. A sound. A person. He reached to the gun he always carried beneath his jacket, afraid of ghosts from the past that might seek him out now. He then saw who it was and that there was no threat, so he dropped his guard and got hit by the snow. After somewhat of a scream, he stood up and shook his head, making the snow fall off of him. 'What did you call me?!' He yelled out and he threw some snow at Hakuren. 'You kitschy brat!' Ah, how he disliked the Versailles. Even though this was a bit of a play-fight, Daisuke still felt the hate for this other person. 'You just ruined what I was trying to build with my sister.' This way of saying things made it sounds more epic than it actually was...

Taiji said, 'a ball would be nice anyway. I'm gonna ask the old man about it. We can invite clan D as well. It would be a good idea to announce that ya're actually looking for a husband... Yeah...' He nodded and smiled at his enthusiastic daughter.

Marina smiled happily at her father,"Your right Papa,though I dare say you are more excited about this then I"She laughed."Papa you never told me about how you and my mother met"She frowned slightly"actually we never have talked about her much, and how did you know she was the one".She clamped her hand over her mouth"Sorry Papa,i am rambling again" she said shyly.

Watching Daisuke's rather amusing reaction of screaming like a sissy and then throwing a snowball at him from sheer anger, one which Hakuren had enough time to assess and dodge for it was not a very calculated aim-and-hit one, the blue-haired boy found something to fish him out of the pool that was the sudden boredom. What a colourful yet short dance it was, from a serious man, ready to shoot him in the head, to a girly child, frightened by the falling layer of snow atop him, to a burning lion. It was an intriguing display indeed, one that tickled his curiosity to go further. After all, he loved observing people, their emotions in particular as they were the things that could not clearly be explained, not by science, nor by the one who feels them. This strange guy, this child of the battlefield that had been taken in with no reasoning, none available to the other clans at least, was a perfect subject, simply because he did not seem to bother himself with wearing a mask like the rest of the nobles. A gulp of fresh air, or ,in this case, a way to chase away laziness. Completely ignoring the remark made to his address, the Versailles continued as he wished.
"Before building something of any sort, a lummox like you should first go ask his master for permission." he simply told him with a smirk as he took a few skip dance steps forwards "And was that a gun before? Alas, there is no war for you to participate in anymore, thus you are both jobless and brainless, huh, Dumbsuke?"
