One last question; to move to the next tier, should I offer an '09 rare with the Patchwork dog? If not, what do people normally add in order to jump a tier?

An early 09 very rare generally, is tradeable for:
*one 08 rare or
*two 09 rares or
*another 09 very rare.

This is easily done if you trade for the same species. This Rattlesnake Rat is not a special pet beyond its date and rarity (only in demand among rat collectors) and it is not on the rares list. It is not worth auctioning or advertising, but if you wait long enough you may get an overpay offer from a rat collector. Overpay would be either more than the above values OR a higher species such as a dog with the same date and rarity.

I just keep my very rare rats unless I get an amazing offer. They are pretty worthless trade-wise but pretty cool to keep and enjoy. I hope this helps some. If you are desperate to trade it well, you might try doing a species paperclip. Try to trade it for a bunny of same date and rarity (from someone who does not value bunnies), then the bunny for a dog (to someone who does value bunnies).

I'm sorry to ask a tough one here, but I am trying to figure out how many 09 rares each of my two main list pets would be worth if traded all the way down for quantity. I have a UR Cucumber and a Spotted Tribal:

If it is correct that a Mid September is considered to equal 21 Mid Advents, and a Balloon dog is 3 Mid Septembers, I can do the math from there. So if you can tell me how many Balloon dogs they each are worth, for instance...

Waitwaitwait where did you get that a mid september is 21 mid advents? O_____O;;;;; 21 mid advents is roughly a balloon dog on the main list.

A red rose (which is considered a mid september, last time I checked) is worth 5 mid advents.

I can also tell you that a blue rose (which is in that awkward place between mid- and high-september) is about 7 mid advents, and that a balloon dog on the main list (both are equal to the wood wing angel) is worth 3 blue roses.

In addition, a "mid advent" is the Gray Border Collie line on the Advents List, and those are worth about 7 mixed/mid 09 rares.
