Mint gave Awa's question a slight nod, then turned and started climbing back up the rocks. Her tail brushed under Sparrow's chin as she started climbing. #0040FF][/color]

Sparrow smiled, happiness still glowing in his eyes. He padded after Mint, looking back at the kits. With a start, he realized that he really would like to have kits he could watch over and see them grow, to feel the pride of a father.

Mint slowed to let Sparrow catch up. Once he did, she fell into pace with him, matching his paws steps. She twined their tails together and walked so close to him that their pelt's brushed.

"Bye Sparrow!" Sugar called after him. She turned back when she heard the sound of small rocks tumbling down the hillside. It was her owner. The human scooped up Sugar. "There you are sweetie, come on we're going to the vet." Sugar mewed in confusion, "What's the vet?" Of course her owner didn't know what she was saying, and carried her up the hill towards her car.

(the vet's gonna say she's going to have kits)

Valiente was padding back from his neice's nest, when he saw Sugar being carried by her housefolk. He bounded over to them, meowing loudly.

"It's ok Valiente! I'll find you as soon as I get back!" Sugar called as her owner closed the car door. She drove a little until she reached the vet's office. She took Sugar inside and the vet examined her. After a while he told her owner something. The human handed the vet something and then they left. As soon as the car stopped at their house Sugar leapt out. "Valiente!" She called, looking for him.

Valiente spotted Sugar and rushed over.
"Yes, Sugar?"
He licked her muzzle.

"Oh, it's wonderful! I'm having kits! Your kits!" Sugar purred, licking his muzzle back.

Valiente's heart lept and he murmured softly into Sugar's ear, while rubbing against her,
"This...this is the best thing that's ever happened..to me..to us.."
he breathed deeply, taking in Sugar's scent.

"I know! It's so great!" Sugar purred, bursting with excietment.
