Sagecreek nods, and smiles widely. Brokenlight was learning quickly, and well. "Great! Just press your belly against the tree, as if you were part of the trunk. That way, the wind can slip right above you, and your chances of falling are a lot less likely." he instructs. "And you have to mainly use your hind legs. They are the ones that push you up further, while your front paws keep you on the tree. Make sure that you keep your legs as close to you as possible, but with just enough space to be able to push forward."

Brokenlight pricked her ears, trying to take in all of his words as he spoke, and then turned back to the tree with pondering hazel eyes. She put her legs a bit closer together as he had said, but left enough space to push herself upwards, and she pressed her stomach against the rough bark of the tree, then pushed herself upwards and grasped another foothold.

"You're doing great! You've almost reached the branches. "he calls to Brokenlight. Sagecreek eyed how the she-cat was climbing, but couldn't help himself when they wandered to her eyes. Her black pelt seemed so silky, while her eyes mirrored her quiet but confident nature. He couldn't help but admire that she would take on the challenge of climbing trees- her rival clans' strength. Especially from a cat like himself. Sagecreek shook his head, snapping himself out of his thoughts.

Robinpaw catches Silverpaw heading towards the camp entrance from the corner of her eye. "Silverpaw! Where are you going?" she calls out, curious about why the tom entered camp and wants to exit so soon. Her teal eyes were still fogged up by grief, and her ears still pasted against her head.

"Remember, if I fall you're taking the blame!" Brokenlight called down, her voice bouncing off the many trees that were surrounding the one. She didn't dare to glance over her shoulder to look at him for fear she would lose her balance and end up plummeting to the ground. Her eyes wandered around the bark of the tree, calculating where her next foothold would be, and once she found it her paw shot up and her claws dug into the bark. She heaved herself upwards again, then dug her claws into the next foothold. Remember, Sagecreek, if I fall... she trailed off, shaking her head and continuing up.

"Apprentices can not eat unless they have hunted for the clan" he said, turning lightly head still hung "I am an apprentice, and probably will be forever, I must hunt before eating" his voice glumly.

There was another laugh that sounded like faint Thunder, then Bone was next to her and the Bluebird "it is already dead, can't do much harm"

"Yeah right! Talk about scaring me out of my pelt!" She meowed with a huff. Broken stared at him and frowned. "Or are you trying to give me a heart attack?" She asked.

Sagecreek's eyes flash with worry for a heartbeat. But it quickly vanished as confidence hit him. "I-I know! If you fall, I'll catch you! I promise." he yowls back. "You're doing great for a beginner! Apprentices usually can't even hoist themselves up." he muses.

Robinpaw's ears fold backwards, this time in frustration. "You're going to become a warrior someday, and you know that! Surely before me!" the cat yowls. Robinpaw climbs onto her paws, shaking her reddish- brown tabby fur. "Im hungry as well. Can I come with you? Rosepelt might need something fresh before leaving...." she trails off.

Bone shrugged "eh, I don't even need to try" his face has a smile flash over it, he opens his eyes and looks at Broken out of the corner. He pounces away, letting his tail swish "Scary cat" he yelps



Silverpaw nods "she has no idea what I've done" thinks Silverpaw, pushing his way out. He opens his mouth halfheartedly, tasing a rabbit. He gets into a hunter crouch stalking forwards. The white tail become in view, he pounces killing the rabbit swiftly. He buries it for later.
