She yelped and jumped. Her tail was fluffed with fright. She narrowed her eye and looked around. She glared at the bluebird.

There was another laugh that sounded like faint Thunder, then Bone was next to her and the Bluebird "it is already dead, can't do much harm"

Brokenlight played the question through her mind a few times, trying to remember back and see if she had ever climbed a tree. Then realization hit her- she never had. As she was snapped back to the present, she realized she was just staring at him, and averted her eyes away from him. "Actually no," she meowed, shifting her paws nervously, "I don't know how but no."

Flickerpw stiffly padded out to help bury Stormstar, occasionally brushing pelts with Silverpaw for comfort. When the hole was deep enough, she gently picked up Stormstar for the last time, dragging him over to the hole they had dug and putting him in as gently as she could, thinking, I failed you, I'm sorry, I'm so, so sorry. She gazed at the body one more time, then quickly covered it in dirt.

Sagecreek's eyes light up with opportunity. "Would you like me to teach you? I mean-it may come in handy someday." the warrior purrs, padding over to a tree just on the riverbank. "Here's a nice, sturdy tree. A great one to start with."

"Well, I suppose, but if I fall you're taking the blame." She meowed after a moments hesitation, padding over with soundless paw-steps to join him beside the tree.

Sagecreek nods, willing to take full duty. He searched for any good grooves in the trunk to have Brokenlight dig her claws into. "Okay, first, try to find a few places to use as boosters. You can dig your claws into the grooves, and that should help you climb."

Brokenlight's eyes scanned the tree for any signs of footholds, a little uneasy on the inside but not showing it on the outside. As she located her path upwards, she allowed her claws to slide out and and she dug them into the bark, heaving herself upwards. She glanced hesitantly down at Sagecreek, not sure if she was really up for it.
