Lilac Teacup Dragon - Baltazar

Postby vindhov » Tue Feb 19, 2013 6:45 am

This Teacup Dragon lives in the middle of big lilac bushes. It uses it's tail as an extra limb while climbing through the thick branches and are an excellent flyer. It lives near human houses and can be found stealing small things that were left behind in the yard. It then decorates it's nest with it's finds.

Based on this flower: http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-KsxaR8kxAqw/T ... G_5430.JPG

So this is my own little cutie Baltazar, (he is not up for adoption). I thought it would be fun to make my own dragons with these lines to later use in some sort of character thread.
Baltazar is my newest addition so I haven't really had much time to work on his character development but I will write more stuff sooner or later :)

Hope you like my little darling ^^

Owner: Vindhov

Dragons name: Baltazar

Gender: Male

Personality:
Baltazar is usually a very laid back Teacup Dragon who can sometimes be seen as kind of a prankster. He loves to laugh and to feel like he is outsmarting the humans by stealing small stuff like broken glas or marbles left out in the yard. This can sometimes put him in real troubble as his camoflauge really only work inside the lilac bushes. Therefore he has to be quick if the humans were to come back before he managed to get away.
He is a great flyer and doesn't hesitate to prove it weither it be to another Teacup Dragon or a bird.

But the word that really defines him amongst his loved ones is kind. His partner Mina means the world to him and he would put his life on the line countless times if it meant that she, and their eggs, would make it. He gave up his nest in the lilac bushes only to be with her and their unhatched cubs.

Short story starring Baltazar:
The sun had begun to set leaving the sky in a wild array of orange and pink. If you looked really closely to the small house's silhouette you could see two small creatures huddled up next to each other on the roof enjoying the vivid colours.
It was two small dragons, not bigger than that they could fit in a cup.

Baltazar turned his head towards Mina as she leaned closer to him. He nudged her cheek affectionately and then looked down at the garden below them.
"Maybe we should go back?"
Mina turned her attention away from the sky and on to him.
"I think Ramona can handle them a few minutes." she replied and letting out a purring sound as she wrapped one of her green and white wings around him.
"But maybe-"
"There is nothing to worry about."
Baltazar sighed as he had to admit that she was probably right.

Half an hour passed with Baltazar constantly checking down towards the garden to check on the nest. All of a sudden he saw movements down by the fence dangerously close to their nest and he sprung to his feet. This time of day was almost the most dangerous as predators and other animals woke up to go hunting, and he new that movement like that in the grass could be a dangerous thing. Without a word he flung himself of the roof and spread his wings. The purple feathers shined bright as the sun rays cast their magic light on them and he dashed as quickly as he could down to the small nest. He could hear growling and hissing coming from inside and once he landed he sprinted to the opening. There he could see a weasel sticking it's body in through the opening as it tried to get further in.
In a fit of rage Baltazar growled and hissed as he pounced the weasel from behind. Taken a back from this the confused weasel backed out and to Baltazar's horror it was carrying one of their eggs in it's mouth. Furious the tiny dragon tried to claw at the weasel's face while shouting and growling to make it let go.
The tactic worked and the confused weasel droped the egg and then scurried back into the forest. Baltazar didn't have time to celebrate his victory as he had practically thrown himself over the egg to see if it was alright. It's hard shell didn't seem to have taken much damage, all he could see was a tiny chip on the top of the egg.
"You will be alright now" he said as he picked the egg up gently with his tail and carried back to the nest.

He has beautiful eyes, and surprisingly you made the lilac come out quite masculine! Great job!
