About the debate
No she didn't delete Caroline.
She's in control of the whole dang facility, she could have made it say that.
and also, a robot without feelings:
-wouldn't keep chell alive
-wouldn't send chell a turret opera that sings goodbye, dear daughter.
Also, in want you gone, look at some parts of the song.
Why would she redact a part of the song?
Because she doesn't want Chell to know that she didn't delete Caroline and still has feelings.

She pretended to delete Caroline because Caroline is Chell's mother, and Chell wouldn't have gone so easily/would have felt very bad leaving her mother behind if it wasn't for that. She wanted Chell to think that she's just a heartless robot she can leave behind.
She wanted Chell to be able to finally live a normal life, far away from Aperture Science.
After all, that's what any mother would want.

But still, at that part of the game I was crying so I wasn't really paying attention. XD

And as for the debate, I don't think GLaDOS deleted Caroline.
I don't really have an argument for it but I believe there's something off about the Announcer at that point.

(By the way, You guys remember the huge potato with a giant tree-type growth in the science fair/bring your daughter to work day area? On the prestentation cardboard, it had Chell's name on it x3)
