I sighed, glancing at my friends, Stargazer, AJ, Kiara, Gem (she ended up as my closest friend here, my age...), and a few others.

I glanced at Gem.
Ready? I whispered. She nodded.
Ready when you are, capt. I smiled at her. She had always called me that. I don't know why...
We walked up to the mics, and I stared talking.
Well... Many of you know what happened to my mom. The crowd hushed. So... we decided to keep her alive for one more night. We're going to sing all the songs she ever wrote. This might be hard for some of us... So, just stick with us if it doesn't work out as well.
I sighed, glanced at Gem, and she nodded. But first, Feather and I decided to sing a song we wrote for Rose. It's called "Staying Alive".
I sighed, shutting my eyes. I felt Gem move besides me, and then we started.

We stopped, and then Rocky and Aly stepped up.
Rose's first song she sang when she actually ever came is still with us. Instead of Aly doing the whole song my herself, we decided I'd help her. This is "The Rising Moon".

Finally, I had to do the last song Mom ever truly wrote. See, she had tried to write more songs, but they all came out in scraps and pieces, so i hope that one day, I can try and make them into songs.
This is the last song of the night. This was the last song... Rose ever wrote. She did try to start some new songs, but she was never able to finish them. This is... "Never Letting Go".
I took a deep breath, trying not to lose control and run.

When I ended, Gem grabbed my shoulder, and stared me in the eyes as the crowd clapped.
Don't. Cry. That was her advice to me for that.
I know... I murmured back, my voice shaking. She sighed, looking into my eyes.
I'll go with you, if you want. Come on, I'll explain it in the shed.
I nodded, and followed her out. But wen we left the building, I finally let the tears come out. We got in the shed and Gem hugged me.
We could run away, if you want. You deserve it.
G-Gem... Y-You... S-stay... I murmured, crying on her shoulder.
Gem sighed. Then I'll help you run away.
I stared at her, and looked in her eyes. Really...?
She nodded slowly, pulling me to my feet, and led me away. I followed her, and when we left the place, I felt... I don't really know what I felt.
I'll miss you, Feather, she whispered, squeezing my hand. I nodded slowly.
So... So will I. Oh, and go check... Go check in my room. There's a song I wrote on my... Bedstand table. I... It's for you.
She sighed, and nodded. I will... Just... Remember me, will you?
I sighed, and whispered to her, If you promise not to forget me.
There was a slight smile that passed between us, until she nodded. Promise.
I sighed. I'll miss you, Gem.
She nodded too, but was at loss for words. I sighed, and ran to the top of the hill, and stared at the sky. There was a new star that night. It was the brightest, and closest to the moon. I smiled, knowing it was Mom. I ran down the hill, and didn't look back.
I'm afraid that now, I wont have anytime to write in you anymore. Signing off for the last time,
