Cordelle rubbed Asi's arms, worry just beginning to creep into him.

I quietly whimpered my my sleep, curling up my legs to my chest to relieve myself a bit from the page. I dreamed about the lab again.

Allure chuckled a little, looking at him. She sped up a little, taking Bella into her arms.

Bella laughed, closing her eyes. "Noo!" She exclaimed.

Thunder packed up his matches, an extra pair of clothes, a handgun equipped with three extra ammo clips and a silencer. He threw his bag over his shoulder and waited downstairs for Maya to finish packing for herself.

After zipping down to the basement and gathering a pair of clothes and a thick hoodie, Maya threw it in a backpack that had also been found down there and raided the kitchen for a small selection of basic, non-perishable foods. Then she threw in a water bottle and grabbed another, tossing it to Thunder as she walked up to him. Shrugging her pack over her shoulders Maya grinned and opened the door, noting that the sun was close to over the horizon. "We'd better get going if we're to travel by any light. Let's at least get past the forest, into the nearest town."

Thunder nodded, taking the water bottle and tossing it in his pack. He closed his eyes and concentrated, "The next town is forty eight miles away. Still think we can make it before it's too dark?" he asked, doubting just slightly.

Denali ran up to them and laughed.

Cordelle slipped into a low stage of panic. He sent calming thoughts to Asi, hoping she would calm down.

Calming... Nice, smooth. Nightmare, cruel, difficult. My mind pushed away the calm, not liking interference when my heart wanted it.

Thunder nodded, taking the water bottle and tossing it in his pack. He closed his eyes and concentrated, "The next town is forty eight miles away. Still think we can make it before it's too dark?" he asked, doubting just slightly.

"Well, an average human runs long-distance at 5-8 mph, and if we add our amazing abilities of using our electricity and heat as boosters we may be able to raise that up to around 10 or 11 mph. If it's forty eight miles away, I don't think we'll be able to make it. Unless..." Maya paused, shooting a side-long glance at Thunder. Then, with a large smile, she said, "You up for some high-speed flying?"

Thunder grinned, "Always," he said quietly. He loved speed, it was one of those addicting things.

Denali laughed and grinnied at them.

Cordelle looked down at her, worry etched into his features.
