Claire ducked in and out of the flow of students, as she made her way to the classroom. Several shoves and pushes were aimed at her resulted in her tripping and falling onto the gray floor; she rubbed her knees and got back up again. Claire was too old for tears, and bickering. Trying not to seek trouble, she went into the classroom and sat down at an empty seat. She propped her chin on her fist and watched the teacher with mild curiousity.

Briar
I look up at a girl that walks into the classroom, but don't say anything. She looks upset about something, and I know that she must be one of the outcasts as well. I myself am very much unwanted by everyone around me, though I'm no less popular than the cheerleaders and such people. I've fought my way through life, and have earned several titles, even if they aren't the most kind names in the world. It still gets me noticed....

I accidentally bump into a girl that was trying to get to the lockers, and drop my books. I lean down to pick them back up, but look back up at the girl. "Hi," I say quietly, and look around, hoping that none of my 'friends' are around.

Addison was startled as a boy suddenly ran into her on her way to the lockers. She stumbled back a bit as his books fell to the ground. Adi quickly pulled her earbuds out of her ears and reached down to help him get the books. When she stood back up she offered him a shy smile in return, "Hey," Addison quietly replied, "So sorry about that, sometimes I get too caught up in my music..." She trailed off, trying to place his face and why he looked so familiar, "Oh, you're in my science class aren't you?" Adi smiled, glad she was able to remember.

I stand up, and stuff my books under one arm. "Yeah, I'm Tod," I say, holding out my free hand. "And don't worry about that, it was my fault too, since I wasn't watching where I was going," I add.

Addison tucked her ginger hair behind her ear before taking his hand and giving it a quick shake, "Well it's nice to formally meet you Tod, I'm Addison," she smiled as he apologized too. Just then she looked behind him and saw one of her ex best friends, now bully, making her way down the hall. "Oh no!" Addison ducked her head down, trying not to get noticed but it was no use. "Hey Adi!" The girl came up to her and shoved her against the lockers while taking her messenger bag with her school supplies. "What do we have in here?" The girl turned it upside down, books, papers, pencils, and more went scattering across the floor. The bully laughed before tossing the bag in the top of the trash can and walking off. Addison bit back tears, she would not give them the satisfaction of seeing her cry, as she began to gather her supplies.

I watch as the other girl dumps all of Addison's school supplies everywhere, and stay out of the way. After she leaves, I crouch down to help Adi pick up her things. "You okay?" I ask quietly, seeing that she was fighting tears.
