Rootclaw listened carefully to the screeching of cats, only a few fox lengths away from where his patrol was. He exchanged a quick glance with Brighteyes, and watched as she reflected his anxious glance. Within a heartbeat, he was racing towards the source, Brighteyes hot on his heels. He skidded to a halt, and watched as his old den mates clawed the fur off of one another. "Enough!!" He yowled, his chilling tone splitting the air. He leaped forward and wrenched Greypaw from his attacker by the scruff, and hauled him back. Brighteyes leapt at the two brothers, keeping them in there place. He put Greypaw down, making sure that he wouldn't be able to get back to the other two. "What in Star Clan's name is going on here!!" He hissed, passing menacing glances between all three cats. "You never attack your Clan mate! You three should be banned to the confines of camp for a moon!" He hissed, tail lashing. This was no way for any cat to treat another, yet alone a fellow den mate. These three would get punished, he knew that much. Darkstar would make sure of that.

Once Brighteyes had managed to keep the two young cats away, she gave Blizzardpaw a questioning glance, full of kindness and worry, reading 'Did you get hurt?'

Cricketpaw yelped. "I swear under StarClans sake I didnt touch anyone!"

Brighteyes nodded curtly, making sure to hold off Lionpaw instead, just in case he decided to throw himself at Greypaw again. Brighteyes looked down at the tom, and motioned for Cricketpaw to join Blizzardpaw in the side. "What happened here?" She asked him gently, taking a different approach to Rootclaw.

Russetleap purred and blinked greatfully at Thorntail. "Thanks!"

"Umm, Lionpaw and Greypaw started fighting over there leader name if they get one and Greypaw said that he will be deputy then leader and Lionpaw will have to obey him and then they started fighitng!" Cricketpaw meowed.

Twilightpaw suddenly felt a twinge of guilt enter his thoughts. He stood, feeling better after some rest, and padded outside. He followed Blizzardpaw's scent until he saw her hunting, "Nice catch..." He called from the undergrowth.

Rootclaw's eyes grew wide with a mixture of both shock, and anger. "That's all?!" He spat, "You two are apprentices! That is something kits quarrel about!" His angry gaze flickered between the two, enough to put even a badger in his place. Rootclaw was never angry, that was usually Fireleaf's job. He'd prefer to just joke about it. "You two should know better." He spat, herding Greypaw over next to Lionpaw, so that he was able to tower over both of them. "What do you two have to say for yourselves?"

Lionpaw wimpered, turning around and dashing away in a blink of an eye.

Rootclaw hissed, clearly angered by the fact that Lionpaw ran away from him. For that, his punishment would have to be worse.

Within an instant, Brighteyes was straight after the apprentice, easily matching his pace. "Slow down..." She mewed, her voice soothing, "Talk to me about it Lionpaw, you can trust me."

Lionpaw tripped and fell over. He huffed and sat up and sneezed. "Its exatly what brother said." He meowed. "Greypaw just makes me so jealous of how he acts and he bullies us! Well, not exatly bully but talks back!" He wimpered.

Brighteyes stopped when he tripped, and gently pulled him back up onto his paws. She sat next to him, and pressed her pelt to his comfortingly, "It is ok, little one," She replied, wrapping her tail around his smaller form, "There will always be cats like that anywhere we go. We just have to find an efficient way to deal with both them, and our own anger. You will learn in time."
