Wonder saw a stallion and she flicked her tail and studied him, calmed down. Then she lowered her head and pulled the grass from the ground, steadily spreading her scent. Finally she looked up at the stallion and snorted. Can maybe, I help you? She said, trying to be rude but failed.

Storm smelled her scent but tried his best to ignore it. He knew mares didn't like it when stallions immediately tried to do that. He needed to court her, make her like him first before he tried anything. "I don't know." he smiled. "Might I ask what your name is?" he asked careful to keep his distance so he wouldn't make her feel uncomfortable.

Wonder studied him and snorted, tossing her head the other way and trotting off, flicking her tail and spreading her heat, trying to make the stallion follow her. Wonder, and your's? She asked not looking back at him as she trotted to the lake for a drink. The stunning mare pulled her head down and lapped up the water.

Storm wasn't going to just let this mare trot away. He trotted after her, taking in her scent again as they reached the lake. He studied her reaction to him, she was definitely playing hard to get. He smiled as he liked a challenge. He lapped up some water himself before answering Wonder. "My name is Storm." he said lifting his head and sticking his chest out a little, trying to show off.

Wonder rolled her eyes, playing hard to get and acting unimpressed. The stallion had to do far more than just puff out his chest, she grinned at him charmingly. Please, tell me more.

Storm smiled, enjoying the challenge this mare was creating for him. "Well, I'm five years old. I'm a bachelor stallion. I fought off a few mountain lions and I can hold my own pretty well in fights against other stallions. But enough about me, I'm more interested in you, Wonder."

Wonder gave a small giggle and looked up at him. I am a lone mare, I am four, I haven't been snaked yet, I haven't had any foals, and well, I've been alone for two years. She said and the scratched her knee with her muzzle.

Storm laughed a bit when Wonder laughed. "How does a pretty mare like you manage to avoid being snaked for two years?" he asked curiously. Wonder was obviously a very tough mare; one that deserved respect, a good stallion, like himself, and a good family.

Wonder shrugged playing along. Skills. She joked then slowly waded into the water.

Storm smiled. "Well, I am certainly impressed." he said as he waded into the lake after Wonder, wanting to show her that he could be a fun loving stallion. He laid down in the shallows, getting himself completely wet before standing back up and pawing the water, making it splash everywhere.
