I hate him though. I tried listening/dancing to Alice in Dreamland so it could be my try out for a comp. And the only way I could see the lyrics was through Kaito. I was about ready to smash the ipad

I'm sorry some tend to pitch him too high for you. I can kind of understand since I've heard some pretty bad/horrific songs on youtube. People put him way up there and then don't even care to do tuning. Or they do some tuning but it still turns out mediocre.

However there are a few good producers that actually know how to use his high range well. And there are plenty of songs with him in mid/deeper range.

I consider him one of the best male Vocaloids besides Gakupo and LEON. Besides, he was the first Japanese male Vocaloid and only the second male Vocaloid. Even the earliest demo of Vocaloid used him in 2003.

Ah you've missed an amazing point of Vocaloid! The voices/characters have no real canon, so you can interpret it however you like. This allows you to have unlimited creativity.
