house tornwood; values competitiveness

the king of spades ♠: spiritually calmed, represents the fierceness and the wisdom of
the house tornwood, being the head of the house. but this character cannot connect his
tremendous potential with success. love, friendships and studies have failed him, and all
what you see is an empty box of feelings, all torn out of him. he believes competitiveness
is the only way through life, but he doesn’t realize how alone is that leaving him, being left
by his school friends and even his own house mates. He must work on his leading role to
take place again as the leader of one of the best houses.

the queen of spades ♠: the queen of thorns, people call her. and ice cold queen, always
surrounded by her guard. people see her as the bad wolf. turns out she isn’t. her self domain
is incredible for her age, but is direct and sincere, what gained her many enemies, even inside
her own house, where she’s protected by the king. although she has a great capability of
acceptance, she prefers to work alone. if she has to work by teams, she’ll end up making your
work, even if it frustrates her. but what really infuriates her is to be someone’s subordinate.

the jack of spades ♠: with a smile on his face, he stabs you in the back. his only
purpose is to win and not be defeated. although his friends trust him and know how he
really is, on the eyes of the strangers, he's irresponsible and propitious to scandal and
disgrace, a reason why his motives are usually misinterpreted. incredibly, this boy is
unusually lucky and fortune provides him wonderful opportunities he hardly ever misses.
talented and charismatic, he'll make his friends doubt about his true identity.

house highsmith; values passion

the king of hearts ♥: relaxed. this word could apply perfectly for this character. easygoing
inactivity, they call it. why rush for things when they’ll come at their own time. this character
is rather reflexive, but it’s only a façade: when it comes to fighting with someone, he’s a beast.
he won’t mind using friends or family, he’ll get his enemy down even if he goes down with him.
on the other side, people enjoy his company despite his momentarily rage: he’s magnetic and
attractive on people eyes. he’ll always look after his friends, and will try to reconcile and
harmonize them.

the queen of hearts ♥: she is the pride of highsmith’s house, just a little sister,
always behind her brother. sweet and adorable, always with a quiet smile painted on
her lips, very desirable. but beware, because this rose is poisoned. she may turn to be
her brother’s worst enemy. and all because of passion. a highsmith would never fall in
love with someone from another house. and yet, she did. she’s now torn between her
house and her heart. she comes directly from the highsmith’s family, and has to honor
her house. but since she was little, her only desire was to get out.

the jack of hearts ♥: just like the queen is poisoned inside, this character is poisoned
too, but inside. love is nothing but a game, his personality changes day by day depending
on the people around him and who he wants to charm. because he’s charming and he knows
it too well. people love him and he loves people, that’s his only serious relationship. his
personality doesn’t make people go away. but his problem is now inside. his personality
changes make him wonder who he really is and what has become of him. his obsession
is narcissism, and he wonders if he suffers this disease, but he doesn’t.

house tannerson; values power

the king of clubs ♣: everything around him, what people doesn’t notice, is incredibly
interesting for him. every detail is worth of mention and notice, although not enough
to be memorized. yes, this character likes to learn, in fact he’s keen on learning, but
he likes to learn curiosities instead of things that count for grades. he’s willing to make
sacrifices for his family -his house- and the people he likes. love is something neutral
to him, he doesn’t look for it but won’t refuse it if it knocks at his door. curiosity didn’t
kill this cat, because it was his power.

the queen of clubs ♣: this character’s biggest flaw is herself: although people see her
as the perfect company, a lovely girlfriend and an intelligent girl [not completely true, but
magnified due to her incredible personality], she sees herself as someone not worthy of her
friendships and will wonder if she’ll end up alone. paranoia could be an explanation, but
it’s also a lack of self esteem. she doesn’t value how much she can help and hides it under
a mask no one sees but feels. this character will have to fight against herself to get what
she wants: the love of her people. because love, is powerful.

the jack of clubs ♣: his biggest gift is memory. this character suffers from hyperthymesia,
he remembers everything he sees and hears, and he’s unable to forget it no matter how
hard he tries. this brings him problems: many people ask him to cheat on tests, teachers
try to make his exams harder, his friends cannot trust him any secrets. his biggest flaws?
his idle curiosity and tons of unforgettable unfortunate life experiences. but in this case,
it’s true: knowledge is power, and he has lots of it.

house galdriel; values intelligence

the king of diamonds ♦: this character is endowed with wisdom and power, although he
may appear cold or hard on the outside, but he’s just fair an frivolous, denying the power of
love, until he falls in love with a tornwood. born in the power and controlling, he’ll be unable
to control this situation. very materialistic, this character will try to win the tornwood with gifts
and not with actions. he cannot afford to lose and will never stop chasing his dream. he’s very
positive, extremely positive and shouldn’t trust his intelligence that much.

the queen of diamonds ♦: art runs though her veins. very secure and happy, this character
will always try to make her friends happy, to make them laugh, because she knows how hard
things can be for people. her path is and has been a hard one - so beset with difficulties and obstacles
- they are continually sapped of strength as they struggle to overcome one thing after the other.
but as the phoenix, she tries to arise from the ashes. when she’s in a bad mood, she’s overly
sensitive and prone to temper tantrums which often affect her friends, but it goes off pretty
fast. she believes in emotional intelligence.

the jack of diamonds ♦: people happen to like this character, a lot. he’s the missing piece
of the puzzle, what everyone is looking for. and all because of his intelligence. you can recognize
on him mental and intuitional power. this character suffers from a light bipolar disorder: he’s
either wholly material, or highly spiritual, or a curious and incomprehensible mixture of the two.
intelligence is a must on him, and will often choose wisely the right answer on existential questions
when asked, due to his gift. he prefers to be alone, but enjoys the company of one or even two
friends; he prefers close groups when he knows people very well. he doesn’t like unpredictable
people, but yet he feels attracted to them.

on the west-side, the attics of the library. kitchens
are located next to the north tower, and the
dinning hall is on the south wall, across the yard.

Sorry, but that's not an option for me: everything is important."

Rob's biggest gift is memory: he suffers from sub-clinical hyperthymesia. He remembers everything he sees and hears, and he’s unable to forget it no matter how hard he tries. However, unlike clinical hyperthymesia, he can break off from a memory and return his attention to the present. Unlike many of those with hyperthymesia, he has been able to apply his ability to rote memorization, indicating some amount of eidetic memory as well. These abilities bring him problems: many people ask him to cheat on tests, teachers try to make his exams harder, his friends cannot trust him any secrets, he get distracted easily and wound-up in the past. It contributes to his laziness as well: Rob's never really wanted anything enough to fully apply himself. He doesn't know what he'd like to do with his life, and on the whole, prefers not to take any risks. He's abnormally cautious and cowardly: he doesn't want to add another painful memory to his stack. Despite the urgings of his sister, Rob prefers to have fun, goof off, and not take any risks.
