What do you do when you order art of a character, and the person draws it in the same pose ?
That's a bummer I'm sorry to hear that about Tengu D: Hm I don't think I have though when I do order art of Damon it's nice, but I expected something else.

This has been every time I've ordered art of Tengu . It's starting to get on my nerves

That's probably because Tengu is in a standard pose that a lot of people use for most of their art. I know I use something similar to it all the time, although I tend to shift the front paws around a bit, and sometimes go for a 3/4 sitting pose instead. If you want an artist to use a different pose I'd suggest mentioning you'd like an interesting/different pose to prompt them into thinking about it, otherwise they may just go ahead and draw a standard side view.

Speaking of which, I really need to do more posework, it's one of the things I've been neglecting lately. I worry that the people who order won't like the pose I choose though :c

And I think the mohawk throws people off a bit too .
But it's not just specifically him .

Just to clear things up:
I don't mean they were tracing .
But recently whenever I order art,
the artist does almost the exact same thing as the refs I give .

The reason I asked, was because I wasn't sure if next time I should request
a different pose when they give me the order or what .

This was what I was wondering .

I know the feeling, the pose is standard and ref like. I just kinda deal with it lol

Chase I'm just happy you're loving him <3 Currently n the process of doing something for Tait and his gf (who is unfortunately still unamed) just anthros are a toughy .3. that and I'm picking when it comes to hyenas....ears...tail...body...the works..

I have a really hard time drawing adoptable oekaki species .
I don't know why . ;-;
And I have a hard time finding people to draw my faceless characters .
