Merr shrugged. "All I know is that he cloned us from samples, my claw, and you two's blood." He sighed, looking down at his feet again.

Zan appeared in the doorway behind her, making her jump. "Doesn't look good" Mattie told her, trying to conceal how afraid she was and failing as her voice shook.
"Look for your dad" Zan told her. "I'll stand guard"

((If I was at home, I'd probably of nearly cried. As I'm at school in a busy IT suite ... maybe not.))

Fred ran up behind Zan, puffing. He hadn't thought to become werewolf, and was quite unfit in human form. "What's happening?" he whispered in her ear. "Has Mattie found her dad?"

Merr relaxed his shoulders, cracking his knuckles. "Alright well. We know one thing about them. They aren't as strong as us. Thye have our powers, our appearance, our lives... But in a battle of strength, we would win. I say, we find a way to get out of here and kick their asses."

"Um.." Beth said. "I'm not exactly in perfect condition, am I? I can't run around and fight like usual. The C-Beth has an advantage over me." She looked troubled.

[Solanum]

Merr nodded. "Yeah, you're right... But if we are gonna fight... Kat and I could take them..." He shrugged, it wouldn't be that hard. "Anyway, I have backup... Rather angry backup..."

[Cottleston]

"I don't know" Zan replied nervously. "She's taking an awfully long time..."
There was a sharp crack from one of the branches in the trees above. Zan's head shot up, searching the leaves.
Red eyes stared back.
"Fred..." She grabbed his hand and pointed. "Let's get in the house, now..."
Too late. The creature launched itself from the branches. A massive wolf, patches of dried blood mottling its fur. Zan wondered if this could be the creature that broke into the house.
As it walked towards them, its fur rippled and it shifted into a man.
"Well, well well" He said, his voice too sweet. "A witch... Or are you an Angel? And a Werewolf... What a cute couple. And what a sweet couple of powers. I think I might have them for myself"
He shifted back and sprang.

The room was empty. Ash blushed and rolled her eyes. She came out, and started walking off down the street. a strange sight met her eyes. A wolf was launching itself in the direction of Zan and Fred. "Hey!" she shouted across to them, "Whats happening?!" she dropped charlie's bridle and ran over in alarm.

[Cottleston]

The wolf, upon hearing Ash's cry, stopped in its tracks and shifted back to human, looking over at her with cold, red eyes. "Oh, but you... You don't yet know what you are, do you? It is a pity that you never will"
He surged towards her, Holding out his hand. In it, Zan caught a glint of cold silver- coloured metal.
She leaped forward, landing a kick to the back of the man's knee and making him stumble and fall to the ground. Snarling, he shifted in front of her and leaped at her throat. She stepped back quicky but claws ripped at her shoulder and she cried out, leaping back towards Fred.
"Ash!" She called out. "Don't let him touch you with that thing!"
The angry wolf was advancing towards them again.

Mattie sat in the middle of the blood- streaked floor with no intention of ever getting up again. Tears snaked down her cheeks and dripped one by one into her lap.
There was something going on outside. At first Mattie's subconscious heard it, but her conscious mind took no notice of it. It was another thing, a thing of no importance now that her world had collapsed.
The thing grew louder, and gradually forced its way into her mind. This is Important, Mattie, it said. Pay attention, now.
Mattie did. There was fighting outside. Outside the house. Outside her house. Zan, and Fred, and Ash. Friends. They were her friends. You help your friends, when they get into trouble, when the teacher picks on them, when they've been cornered at the edge of the playground by bigger, rougher kids who want nothing more than a good fight.
You fight for your friends. When someone's trying to... When someone's trying to take their souls.
Mattie got to her feet and ran from the dead room.

Ash leaped to the side as the creature lunged at her. "Zan!" She shouted, "get inside the house!" she moved quickly backwards, trying to dodge the creature's strikes.

Sombra snarled, going quad, his muscles changing again. He growled, arching his back at the shifter. "Why don't you pick on something your own size..."

Fred growled at the wolf, furious that Zan had been hurt. He checked Zan over mentally, moved her to the side of the road and shifted. He roared at the wolf. "I'm your size, am I not?" He moved forward and attacked.
