Duskpaw walked a bt deeper into the dark forest as his eyes scanned around him. He could hear the laughing in his ears as the cats seemed to crowd in closer to his body, their voices singing a tune of wicked laughs as their eyes glowed each in a red flaming glow in the dark shadows. In front of him, Grinner stood with his body misting around like a living shadow, and his eyes the same as the other fellow cats as he stood in front of his body. Then, with a wicked gleam in his eye he jumped forward with his claws outdone, eyes blazing, and mouth opened in a hiss as the mist engulfed him the next second.

Duskpaw woke with a shake of fear as he stared around the medic den. He didn't remember coming here, but he must have guessed that Grinner overpowered him as easy as he was. The odd thing was though he couldn't even pick up on the dream that scared him so much, but his anger that boiled with Grinner sure did tell him it was about his father. His claws came from his paws as he gripped the moss with his black claws and clenched his teeth in anger while his body shook softly. He didn't want it to be true. He didn't want such a monster to be his father, and even him to be in relation to such a cat. His eyes filled with soft crystal tears as they fell onto his black cheeks. It was perhaps the slight pain of his neck that he cried, but even if he wished to tell himself a lie he knew it was fake. I wish, sometimes...that you could have ended me to not make me feel such pain. He thought to himself as his face pushed softly into the wet moss as he cried into it with soft silent sobs. I wish was not related to you, and that your title will never become mine. I promise you father that I won't be like you. I won't, he told into his mind.

Grinner walked forward after the she-cat as she stared back at him with her blue eyes. He didn't wish for his kit friend to see such a cat he had turned out to be, but even as he got a slight shove from the cat behide him he didn't react. He wanted to at least be kind to her since she was the reason he was not going after his son, but also wished to learn more about her since their time apart had been so long.
