She gazed at the water which flowed swiftly only a few tail lengths in front of her. Its swirling depths seemed like a vortex and she struggled to pull her gaze away. Finally she succeeded and turned to Wildfire nervously. "Wh-where do we cross?" She swallowed nervously and for the first time since her apprenticeship had begun, wished Hawk was there with her.

Wildfire chuckled, "we cross up the river, It's calmer and there's a tree trunk that has fallen a long time ago." he looked at the water then at her, "As your mentor, It's not just my job to teach you, but to protect you. Don't worry about anything. I'll always be close by as long as your my apprentice."

"Not the Clans." BlackClaw replied. "It's the loner's you need to look out for!" He turned to Hawkpaw, narrowing his eyes into little slits. "They're nasty... Stealing kits, using their pelts for their nests... You're lucky to have survived out there on your own, with that pretty pelt."

{ Accepted, Autumn. Just jump in when you want. There was one error in your form, and correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't apprentices given their warrior names at 12 moons? So, 13 moons would make Twilightpaw a warrior already. I think. o_o

Also, Camie! would you consider taking up a mini mod position here at MistClan? You're the oldest "recently active" member around here, and poor old Autumn couldn't get her form accepted until someone with authority could come online. You seem to be posting often enough, so I just wanted to offer you the job and see what you thought. :3 }

She looked over at Wildfire gratefully. "Okay, I'll follow you." She swallowed nervously but realized that Wildfire was capable of taking care of her. Stepping up next to him lightly, she smiled shakily and waited for him to lead the way.

His ears reddened at the compliment but he stood up and gave Blackclaw a sly look. "Yeah, well Song and I would have fallen under the loner category. And we never stole anybody's pelt or kit." He smiled smugly. "Not to say we weren't a force to be reckoned with."

Wildfire looked at her and nodded he headed along the river telling her about the prey and all the seasons. His eyes would flicker to the water nervously.... he'd fallen in before..

She padded after him happily and soon forgot the water, absorbed in learning everything about clan life. The warm air swirled around her comfortingly and she grinned up at Wildfire.

wildfire felt relief as he padded away from the river towards hunting grounds, they got to the edge of their border, "You'll want to memorize our clan's sent. We can tell trespassors apart from clan cats that way.

She nodded and looked at him seriously. "Do my brother and I yet carry that scent?" She looked up at him curiously, then stepped up to smell a bush and detected the Mistclan scent. "Okay, what now?"

Wildfire shook his head, "It will with time, don't worry." He walked on he saw that the sun was still far from down, he told her, "It looks like I'll be able to teash you how to control your claws."
