Angel watched Shark leave out of the corner of her eyes. Concern in her gaze. When she got up to follow him she suddenly felt herself being pulled back. Glancing back she saw Dante had wrapped his tail around her hind leg, stopping her from trailing after Shark. "Leave him, he needs his space." Dante said in a low whisper, so only she could hear. Taking one last glance to where Shark had left she sat down, her solemn gaze resting on her paws.

Shark sped up, his stride lengthning. Even though everything in his body hurt, he kept running. And running. He thought that Star and him did have something, but he must have guessed wrong. AHe sighed, and panting again. One of the wounds on his chest had opened up and was bleeding again. He slowly came to a stop and walked a few more paces to a large cliff. He looked down, and then across. He sighed again and sat down, hoping that maybe the wound would stop. Then he closed his eyes and let the wind ruffle his fur. He let jelous emotion float away. He was team leader and he had to keep strong, he couldn't fall for love. Or maybe he just fell for the wrong kind of love. Maybe he was wanting a mate, he had seen so many dogs that were happy to be mates. But now that he thought about, Dante and Star were good together. Dante would keep her safe, were as Shark felt that he couldn't with being lead dog. But maybe, if he found the right mate she could accept him as lead dog and support him. Shark rolled his eyes, he didn't need to be thinking of this now. He snarled, mad at himself for even showing a display of his emotions. He looked down the cliff at the water that rushed beneth. It crashed agaisnt the rocks and then as he followed the current of the water, it disappered over an even larger cliff. Prefect. He thought to himself and began to back up from the cliff. Then he stopped and closed his eyes again. Controling his breathing and hearing the steady beat of his heart.

Angel glanced over to where Shark had disappeared, deciding to after him, Standing up she began to pad away, halting when she felt Dante's gaze rest on her. "Angel...where are you going?" asked Dante, lifting a brow. "To see if Shark's okay." Angel said simply. Dante was a bout to say something but Angel cantered away before he could speak. Quickening her gait she began to sprint, following Shark's scent trail until she spotted him. She gasped, seeing he was about to jump. "Shark no!" Angel yelped, her ears flattening and eyes widening.

Shark turned to Angel and shook his head, "No, I have to do this." He said simply, knowing he would feel better after it. Thats all he needed was a rush of excitment. He looked back to the cliff and narrowed his eyes. He set his paws down carefully and flicked his ears, listening to the sound of the falls.

"What are you doing?!!! Do you get kick out of near death experiences!???" she asked with a slight growl, swerving in front of him.

Shark looked at her, "Hmm, I've gone through way worse." He muttered and glanced at Angel. He backed up a few more feet, then ran towards her. He pushed from the ground and jumped over her. He almost chuckled but kept his focus as he ran striaght for the ledge. He dug his claws into the the very edge of the cliff and jumped off. As he flew through the sky, his emotions were left behind and exciment filled him. He hadn't done something like this in a long time. He kept his front paws close to his chest and his back legs slightly out. He streched his front legs out as his paws touched the ground on the other side of the cliff and slide on his side as his feet skitted into the ground. He got to his paws and looked back at Angel on the other side of the cliff.

Angel blinked, her gaze following him in a rather dazed manner. Why did he do this to himself like that...? He was such a strange male. As Angel struggled to understand his emotions and inner turmoil she wondered herself what she would o if she lost someone she loved to someone else.

Shark padded back to the edge of the cliff on the side he was on and gazed at Angel on the side of the cliff. "This is how I clear my head..." He explained, looking at her from where he stood.

"By jumping off a cliff..."she said bewildered.She cocked her head, suddenly curious. "How does it calm you?"

"Not off a cliff, over one." Shark said, looking down at the river. "Its a rush...and helps me to clear my mind I guess..." He muttered and backed from the cliff edge again. He ran and cleared the jump again, this time, landing squarly on his paws. He flick edhis tail and breathed in deeply. "See? I'll ready to lead the practice...well maybe not now." He muttered, looking down at hs wounds.
