Auroch silently walked through the bayous,
his hooves softly thudding through the moss and damp ground.
He blew his long blonde hair out of his eyes, his orange eyes
brightening with the glow of the luminescent mushrooms and the
buzzing fireflies.
He continued walking, he carried his head a little higher, and walking at a quicker pace,
He was going to his sanctum,
that special place he went to relax, and to return to a more...Sane state
He arrived at the small secluded pool and sighed, the fireflies and mushrooms made the
place almost glow.
This was not only a pretty and relaxing place to be, it was where he had first met Aily,
and it was his way of keeping in touch with her,
He laid down under the huge willow tree next to the water.
"Uh, Hi."
He said sheepishly, looking up and around the area nervously.
"Uh,.. I just wanted to come and uh..See how you were."
He spoke quickly and stuttered a bit
"I..I have been meeting people.."
He said, looking up at the stars in the clear night sky.
"I am still horrible with socializing, though."
He said with a nervous chuckle, looking away and then back up.
"But at least i am learning again.."
He said with a more serious look, his eyes looking more desperatly at the sky.
"I...I miss you...A lot.."
He trailed off...
"And..And..And i want you to know...That... i would do anything to bring you back...."
He looked down at his knees.
"And, I'll never forgive myself for what i did to us..Including Celana.."
he said,
a solemn look washing over his face.
Night Terror, wandering blindly, stopped, looking up at the sky, admiring the twinkling stars, her eyes reflecting the blanket of silver that was the night sky. Her ears pricked, she thought she heard a voice, not far from her, but not near. She looked through the trees, the luminance of the mushrooms creating a beautiful ghostly path that lit her trail of vision. Turning her head so she could see, she pricked her ears Celana he heard drifting eerily on the breeze. The voice though soft sounded familiar and yet she felt unsure.
She wandered, treading softly and steadily, careful not to dislodge any living plant or overhanging branch, a piece of moss fell from a branch, trailing down her velveteen nose, making her sneeze- an indignant snort coming from her nostrils. She looked up immediately, an anxious suspicion arising in her eyes. On looking up, she could see a beautiful moonlit pool, its surface quicksilver to the inky night colors. Fireflies, like living stars lit the pool, moving in erratic and wonderful motions, often flying close to the water. And on the other side of the pool stood a figure, Night Terror looked unsure, backing off slightly, the beauty of this haven had caught her unawares and she had no reason to strike conversation with a stranger she barely knew. She stood in the shadows now half watching the kelpie she could not see and half admiring the simple elegance of the wondrous scenery she inhabited.
