oh, so pie gained a new nickname also? ono
i can live with that XD

I find love triangles fun X3 But I always like the two that have feelings for that one special one .-. So it's just like, if I ended up writing one..yeah, not a good idea. It would more than likely get unfinished and forgotten about XP

But I enjoy reading them. Like one of the series, The Summer I Turned Pretty, or geeze, total mindblank at the moment.
I'm actually doing a rp with complicated love triangles ouo

It wasn't a heated argument, or was it? o_O Didn't seem like that to me... I thought we were just discussing

Love triangles, yes, AND that many of us have word finding issues xD (I'm one of those, too, by the way. Basically every time I'm sitting down to write, there is at least one word that's just out of my reach. My favourite writing site's author wrote a poem about that issue, by the way xD Here:
Link).

That is an amusing poem XD

But yeah, that happens to me also. I just go check the thesaurus if I know a synonym for it.
If I can't find it, I go "._____________________. well, I'll use this one then."

From what I read, it didn't sound all too friendly, but I suppose heated wasn't the proper word.
In any case, it wasn't leading to anything good. That's all. x3

The only thing that bothers me with love triangles is when the interest squabbles over it like a lovesick dog. /cough Bella cough/ For the most part, I prefer it when they are oblivious to the conflict so that they can focus on whatever it is they must do. But that's just me. Everyone has a different preference when it comes to love triangles.

I think romance is fine as a focus and love triangles can work, it just depends on how the author does it. Stephanie Meyer is not the best example, I think.
Mind, romance in most YA adults these days are just things I read because I like being more teenage girly sometimes but they're not very well written like at all. But there are novels out there that are completely focused on romance and are out of the water amazing

Of course, there are preferences and all of that jazz. No two people are the same

Also: I can never write romance convincingly because I've never been in love and it irritates me /:

I'm the same way with the romance writing. I read it all day long, but when it comes to actually writing it, I just can't do it. Especially if they're admitting they love each other or something along those lines...it always just sounds so sappy and unreasonable, and it annoys me to no end.

I personally can never write about love either, because I've never been in love. I can roleplay it convincingly, but writing a book about it? Pssh no way.

Plus, the girls and boys at my school are not good examples.

"OMG I'm totally in love with him forever, we're going out now."

three days later:

"OMG whatever I'm totally over him."

Come on people that is not how real life works.
So I figure I'm going to wait to write about it until I have a little bit more experience on the matter. Roleplaying, at least, I don't have to be exact and can just use what I've learned from romance novels. cx

Romance...is tricky, I think. I agree that romance as the plot for a novel is kind of boring; even if you are writing a high school book, family trauma, friends, betrayals--they are all important. Les Miserables, one of my absolute favorite books, has a ton of romance in it, but by no means is that the plot. It works that way. I like it as a side plot, because it's intriguing, but you don't follow it to the point of death, you know?

Writing about life is impossible without mentioning love at all. I have characters who are complete narcissists, but I still bring up the topic of love, even though they themselves are incapable of it.

There was probably a pretty big shift in my writing when I realized I was in love with my boyfriend.

I'm going to have to rant for a moment.

You know how you have a work in progress writing thing on Chicken Smoothie or a work in progress roleplay and it says many times "no posting" in several areas and people post anyway?

That's happened to me twice now, and the posts haven't even related to what I'm writing.
Sorry, I just had to rant. I love my writings and I don't like having them separated by comments or spam posts.

I'm obsessive compulsive with my writing, I will admit that now.
