Twilight didn't exactly do very good job with it because Bella switched almost every book and it made her look like a floozy. I think love triangle plots work especially well with characters who are older teen - young adult. Old high school or college-aged.
Hmm, well I do see your point. But personally I believe that if romance is the main focus in any story/roleplay - regardless of it being a love triangle or not, then it is not very deep. The best books I've read always have romance as a side-plot, and not the main focus.
The very best (and deepest) story
I have ever read had love as the main theme :] So I disagree completely with this.
It's not a published story, though. But I never believed that published stories must be better than unpublished ones, no matter what. *shrugs*
I must admit that I hate love triangles *cough* I just can't stand them any more. They make me roll my eyes so intensely they hurt xD And the couple that forms in the end is always the couple I did NOT root for. Meh.
EDIT:
@person who called me awesome (I hope you did mean me, otherwise it's really embarrassing xD)
Thanks for that! I'm actually still a bit embarrassed, haha *just can't take praise any normal way* xD
I never considered my opinion especially awesome, to be honest. It was always just my opinion, and I DID have to learn that others have different opinions the hard way *cough*
Feel free to talk to me, though, I'm usually nice. I don't bite, I promise! xD
