Vegetarianism, anyone?

I am a vegan (for anyone who does not know what this means, it means I do not consume any animal products).
I'm just wondering if there are any other vegans or vegetarians on CS?
If you are not a vegan/vegetarian, what are your thoughts on it?
If you are, why? Is it because you care about the animals, or do you want to be uber-healthy? I personally don't care much about health, but I do love animals.

I'm not vegetarian or vegan, but i admire those who are, I absolutely love animals, if I ever did decide to really commit myself to being a vegetarian that would be why, I've tried unsuccessfully twice, but I love the taste of meat to much, I feel really guilty about it sometimes DX but I just think of myself as a predator, I just don't have to hunt for my food X3

I'm neither. I could never survive without meat. Ever.

But I respect vegetarians and vegans, as long as they're sane. Like, not screaming "MEAT IS MURDER!!" at me while I'm in McDonald's eating my hamburger. You respect me, I respect you, no matter what you choose to eat ((or in this case, not eat)). c:

Im a lacto-Vegetarian. I do not eat meat,fish or eggs. I love dairy too much to be a vegan 100% of the time but alot of time I do eat vegan. My favorite lunch of all is vegan, Tofurkey,tomato and veganaise sandwiches.

Cool. I started out being a lacto-vegetarian. Then I went vegan.

I'm not a vegetarian/vegan, I'm a huge animal lover but I think eatting meat is part of life. i respect vegitrains choices i don't jugde people by what they chose to eat. But i don't think i would ever become a vegetarian it's sorta pointless to me (unless you just don't like the taste of meat.)

Well (if thats to me..) then I know some one how doesn't eat meat simply because she doesn't like the taste. It's just like if i don't like apples why would i eat them. not eatting animals because they where alive once dosen't make sense to me because vegtables where alive once too....

I don't know who that was directed at, lol, but for me I hate the thought of eating/killing another animal. A creature who is so similar to me, not a plant, but a creature with brains, hearts, blood, etc. And its not necessary. I don't like killing animals, and I don't need to kill them to live, so I won't.

Well, apples are from plants. Animals are not. Animals are alive just like you are. Self-aware, with brains hearts blood etc.
