Danielle's eyes went huge. She shook her head. "No but I saw the look on your face. You care for him." She glanced away shyly. She was nervous enough without people thinking her power was mind reading. Although mind reading would be better than her true power. She looked worriedly to Shiloh. "Do you think we'll have to sing?"

"He can't decide between the two of us and he's the only one I've ever met that cares for me." She whispers sadly "the last was my father." Listening to her last question she shook her head she wanted to go to her room and curl up in a ball

Danielle sighed softly. "We will be wearing masks and such. Who knows what will happen. I for one am excited to be able to change my appearance and not have to fear for.." ZShe shook her head and went silent.

"I've been unloved for to long no one but John showed the slightest interest." Shiloh sighs

Danielle touched her cheek softly. "I care about you and we just met. Don't give up on love Shiloh. It is after all a Masquerade Ball. Many things can happen. Just remember how it was first started."

Shiloh frowns nodding "you don't know the terrors I've seen though the deaths the fear. It's why I disappear."

Danielle looked at her. "I was the cause of my mother's death. My power is what started it and my mother died protecting me." A tear slid down her cheek. "Why does he hate me so?" She whimpered softly and her shoulders shook in a silent sob."

"No one hates you." Shiloh whispers hugging her gently

"Not really sure." John shrugged lightly. "Hopefully there is."

"Otherwise, a ride in the woods would be a bit trickier," she smiled. "Still fun, but harder to find your way back." She watched Shiloh go off with Danielle. She's upset. I'm being a bad friend again, she thought.

Danielle stiffened a little. "My brother does," she whispered. "It was my power that enhanced his hatred. He tried to kill me and my mother tried to stop him. In the end she died and he snapped out of it. We haven't been on good terms ever since."

Shiloh sighs "at lease you have yours. My sister and brother are dead along with my parents.'' She whispers
