(( Sorry for my absence, I was busy yesterday. ))
Baxter smiled at Icia, thumping his tail against the hard surface of the playground floor. "Thanks, Icia! You won't regret this," He said, crawling inside the tunnel. "I promise you that I won't snore. I'll be-" Baxter was cut off at the sound of another female voice. Before he could react, he found himself being pushed over by Icia as a female dog shoved her way into the tunnel.
"Hey, watch it!" Baxter sounded more surprised than angry. "Icia, what's going on?" They were packed in like sardines, Baxter squirming as he tried to find room inside the small tunnel. It was barely big enough to fit him and Icia inside at once, forget about adding in another dog. Baxter managed to squeeze his way out the back of the tunnel, looking over to see the other female getting out the front down on the ground. He watched her carefully, making sure that she was not going to try and fight with Icia. Strangely, she reminded him a whole lot of Goodie, the mute dog that had first attacked him today. Baxter squinted at her for a second, shrugged, and then slide back inside the tunnel with Icia.
"That was odd."
"Hellooo? Anybody here?" After a long, unsuccessful search for the male chihuahua that had offered her food, Anika had reluctantly given up on trying to find him. She'd wandered into the mall, hoping that there might still be something to eat in one of the Pet Stores or Resterants that were there. The chances were extremely unlikely, but Anika was hungry enough to be willing to try anything. The little dog padded past a few tables with large umbrellas stuck in the middle of them, looking at all the still-lit resterant signs hanging above a large counter were the humans would take orders for food that other people wanted. The whole idea of it sounded rediculous, giving perfectly good food away to other people for green paper, but then again, that chihuahua had kindly offered her a rabbit for nothing in return.
"Here we are," Anika said, smiling when she came to a large glowing sign that said "Burger King". Although Anika couldn't read, like most dogs, she recognized the picture of the man with a long curly beard and a king's crown on top of his head hung next to the strange letters. She walked past the large table, inhaling deeply through her nose. Though it was faint, she could still catch the scent of burger meat, french fries, and other various fast food items. If she could manage to find anything, it would most definately be pretty darn old. But it was better than nothing.
(( I think I'll add another character. I'll quote it once I finish the form. ))
