A whimper escaped the shape and it took a step back. Now you could see it clearer, a wolf with black bat wings and a snake mark...it was Keith...or was it?

Dusk bit her lip, then went down to her knees. "Keith? Are you okay?" She petted his neck, looking him over for anything unusual.

He closed his eyes and whimpered again It's still out there....it almost had me....but now it's still there....it'll come again...

Dusk sighed at looked out into the void over the cliff. "Where could it come from, there's no where it could." She narrowed her eyes, "What exactly is it?" She returned her gaze to Keith.

Anything it wants to be.... Keith opened his eyes again and glanced at her then moved one of his wings back to reveal a bite on his leg

Dusk flinched slightly, scanning the bite mark. She sighed, then shook her head. "Something is going to die." She whispered, then turned and brushed her hand down his back. "I won't let it be you." Her eyes clouded as she lost herself in thought.

Either way we need to leave....the void is to near here... Keith let his wing hide the bite again and turned to look over the cliff again

Dusk sat there a moment longer then stood up. "Okay. I'll meet you back in reality." She walked over to the very edge of the cliff, and looked over the edge. "I wonder what's done there. Nothing good I bet." She spread her wings and almost smiled, then closed her eyes and drifted out of the deserted world.

Keith whimpered again but slowly let himself leave that world....
He blinked up his eyes and winced at the sudden pain but pushed to a sitting postion. He was human right now but burnt some from the flames earlier and sore.

Dusk looked over at Keith, then went and sat down on a fence post. Nothing makes sence again. It's all jumbled. She closed her eyes, and her hand slipped in her pocket. She pulled out a knife and began cutting the charred ends off her hair. I still don't understand....and it's driving me crazy. She spread her wings and took to the sky, flying towards the mountains.
