Ariana

Ariana has
Armina as a sister

None currently, let's hope she gets some soon!

June 19th, 1:36 A.M
Those who are born in June are blessed with 3 birthstones, all quite beautiful.
First is the pearl, the only gemstone to come from living sea creatures.
Next is the rare Alexandrite, a gemstone that is green under daylight and fluorescent
light, but turns purplish red in incandescent light.
Last but certainly not least, is the moonstone.
A phenomenal gemstone, moonstones show a floating play of light
and sometimes show either a multirayed star or a cat's eye.
.: Calm :.Ariana is very calm, and no one has ever seen her lose her temper before. Not even her sister. Ariana always speaks in a warm voice, and almost never "freaks out". She tries very hard to keep her cool, and she has a tendency to stay quiet. Ariana can stay very clear minded when she is surrounded by chaos, and tries to think before she acts.
.: Kind :.Some may say her kindness is a good thing, some may say she's too soft. Ariana strongly believes in giving others a chance, and she believes that all young ones are innocent, and they can be turned away from any twisted thoughts. Ariana is very motherly, even though she does not yet have her own pups. However, this does not stop her from fighting, after all, she's always wanted to be a warrior when she was a pup.
.: Determined :.Ariana can be seen as stubborn, and sometimes that is bad. However, she isn't the type to "chicken out" of a task halfway through. Ariana will fight 'till the end, and make sure everyone around her does too. Once she sets a goal Ariana will keep at it, even if it takes a couple of years. Ariana may seem lazy, and willing to lay on the rocks and sunbathe rather than work at times, but she truly sticks to what she's doing, and tries to do it well.
.: Clever :.Ariana is quite smart, and tries to figure out some creative strategies. However, she's never had a negative, serious, one in her entire life, and she often uses her head to achieve her goals. Ariana gets sudden bursts of inspiration, often when she's backed up into a corner.
.:Curious:.Ariana is always wondering about the world, though she rarely shares it with anyone. The world is a mysterious place, and woven in are several questions. Ariana was like this from when she was a puppy.
However, please note that pups will be pups, and Ariana wasn't quite so.... Quiet. She cheers the others up and pushes them along when they need it, but otherwise she's quite shy. When she was a pup, that was a different story...
Brief Summary of Ariana's puppyhood with some bits and pieces added inAriana was born in a red cave, like most WoI pups are. Ariana was born first, pulled from a warm, dark place into another, colder dark place. Of course Ariana hadn't opened her eyes yet, as most, if not all, young animals were born with their eyes closed.
"She's gorgeous." A voice breathed above her. "She has your markings."
"And she will have your eyes, just wait and see." A rougher voice, a little farther away said.
Something rough, yet gentle seemed to lick Ariana over, then tucked her into a warm wall of something. Instinct flowed into Ariana, and she began to nurse, like all young mammals do. Soon, another warm bundle was tucked in on her left. After Ariana had satisfied her enormous hunger, she fell asleep, into a deep, dreamless sleep, laced with the scent of milk.
***
The following morning, for it was morning, even though the pups didn't know it, dawned bright and sunny, promising a good day. Ariana slipped out of her dreamless sleep, yawning. She felt the pile beside her, and realized that her littermate was still sleeping. There was a light outside her eyelids, tinted red by the skin that covered the pup's eyes.
A warm, wet thing pushed into Ariana's side, and murmured "This one looks like an Ariana to me"
"She does doesn't she?" the rougher, deeper voice answered.
"Very well then, our daughters are named Ariana and Armina!" The first voice concluded.
Ariana's stomach complained angrily, and again, Ariana found herself nursing, tucked against that wall of warmth again.
***
Ariana had pried her eyes open the day before, and she was now 4 days old! Her sister had opened her eyes at the same time, and the first thing they saw was each other. They had a bond from the start, Ariana and Armina, they did everything together, and conversed mainly with each other, with the few words that they had learned. Because they were too young to leave the den, their parents were preoccupied with educating them, expanding thier knowledge of the world. The pups grew quickly, and we're soon tumbling about, play fighting, creating their base for the hunting and fighting that would come later on.
Ariana jumped on her sister, and rolled her over onto her back. Armina squealed and tried to flip Ariana off. The pups rolled around together in the sun, just inside the mouth of the cave. Their mother and father were kind and gentle, and let the pups play as much as they wanted to, even outside in the long, blue grass. Aldready the pups were becoming little warriors, when they saw a warrior coming by, they always harassed them for training. Of course, the pups' parents were ready to intervene if things got out of control.
Ariana was always a curious pup, and her favorite words were what? How? Why? Why did the rain come down, why does the bird fly? Why do all living things think, and learn? Why do we walk, and why do we fight? Why do we even exist at all? Ariana spent hours pondering these questions, and her final answer was: Why not? Next she thought about what; What is time? What do you call a bird, and what does one call a mouse? What makes it a mouse or a bird? If it evolved like her parents said, then at what point was it considered a bird or a mouse? If all living things evolved front he same thing, then what is the difference between a bird and a mouse? These questions usually went about answered, for no one knew. Ariana also thought about how ; How do birds fly? How to fish swim? How do I think? How do I learn? How and why do I sleep? How does the sun and moon travel across the sky? Most of these questions were answered with proper observation, and learning from others also happened.
Now, to the acutal story xDTold from Ariana's point of view.
Orphaned I twitch my ears. I hear a scraping soud, then pawsteps. I look up blearily, eyes heavy from sleep.
"Momma? What's happening?" I whimper.
"Hush, your father and I are going out to... hunt." My mother murmmers. Then, she licks my nose, turns, and pads up to the cave entrance.
I could see moonlight glinting on metal, and the sharp shapes of armor.
Armor? For hunting? I shook my head. I prod Armina in the side, and flick my tail towards the cave entrance. Then, I prick my ears and listen.
"- ey're here. We have to go."
" What about the pups? We can't just leave them!"
"We have to go, they'll go after us first."
"They can get up here. We need to move the pups higher, where they can't be reached."
"We don't have time, we need to go!" With that, me and Armina's father leaped down from the cave. Our mother looked back, then reluctantly followed. I walked slowly over to the mouth of the cave, and Armina folllowed. We looked down to see our parents dissapearing into the forest.
"Momma?" Armina whimpered.
"Daddy?" I cried, eyes wide with terror.
Several other armored shapes flicked across the short stretch of grass, then dissapeared into the forest. Inside the forest, terrifying sounds were heard. They were the sounds of a great struggle, the sounds of snarls, howls, growls, whimpers, and most of all, a horrible roaring and hissing sound, a sound that niether of the pups had heard before. It didn't come from a WoI's mouth, that was for sure.
Soon, the sounds began drawing nearer. My fur stood on end.
What's happening? I felt fear grip my heart for the first time in my 2 month old life. Soon, a.... thing burst out of the forest. It wasn't anything that I had seen before, and I quickly scrambled back into hiding. It would know where we were soon enough though, as my sister and I still peered over the ledge. A pair of neon green eyes glared back. It was too dark to see the body of the creature, only a dark shadow. It had a long body, 4 legs, what looked like a mane, and when it moved, long, thick, sharp claws glinted in the moonlight. It opened it's mouth and hissed, and it's gaze darted towards the forest.
Another long creature burst from the undergrowth. This one had golden eyes. It looked at the pups, hissed then crouched down, ready to spring. Just then, a WoI burst out of the trees, armor glinting, and attacked the yellow eyed one. Another WoI followed close behind, and leapt ontop of the green eyed one. The battle swiftly moved to the stretch of grass at the base of a cliff. The pup's den was very low, but off the ground, and one would have to climb to reach it.
"They must be Kronadors!" I hissed, and stared at my sister.
"Wow... We better get out of here!" She growled back.
"I heard mom say that we needed to go higher, where we couldn't be reached. I think those hooves can't hold on the higher rock, where there is less room to put them. That would need more flexible paws." I whisper.
"Come on then! Let's go!" My sister yelps.
"Yeah." I sigh. I stretch my neck out, and turn my head to look around. I step onto the large ledge that is infront of the den, and look around again. I spot a small ledge, and a wide crack a little farther up. I stretch up my front paws, and grab both firmly. I shiver, then look down. The ground suddenly seems so far away... I shake my head, then place my hind paws. Then, I use my back legs to push up, heaving my body up. I try to ignore the knot of fear in my stomach as I inch my paw upward, often holding on with only 3 paws, to try to get a good purchase on the rock. Loose pebbles and sand shower down, and I feel my sister urging me on, nudging me and reassuring me. Finally, I collapse on a medium sized ledge of rock. A moment later, my sister joins me. We look down, and see that we're not high enough. The battle still rages, and many bodies lay still of the ground. Though wether they are Kronadors or WoI, I do not know.
"We're lost... There are so many of them!" Armina cries, tears of desparation welling up in her eyes.
"There are more warriors, w-we live on the edge of the general denning area, more help will come." I say, trying to reasurre my sister. I'm not sure if I even belive myself.
I look up again, and wearily and half-heartedly continue our climb. About halfway to the next ledge that is large enough for me and my sister to rest one, I hear a hiss, and a thump. Then, I hear the sound of pebbles clatting on rock. I look down. And I whimper with fear. A large, dark-colored, green eyed Kronador clings to the cliff face, it's claws driven deep into the cracks in the rock. It's hoof is also shoved part way into cracks, and the other one is on a ledge. It glares at us, then begins the climb, picking it's way up almost lazily, as if it knew that it had all the time in the world.
I squeal, and scramble up the cliff as fast as I can. I hear my sister dislodging pebbles and sand from the rocks, trying to slow our purser down. I scramble up onto a ledge, and my sister follows. We breathe heavily, and try to rest as well as we can, as we both know that I did not have much time to spare. We look down again, and see that the green eyed Kronador had been joined by a yellow eyed one, a little further down. Both seemed to climb with ease, and had thier gazes fixed on the pups.
I whimper again, and set to work, climbing the cliff. The softter stone up top crumbles under my claws, crreating even more pebbles, sharp and hard cutting into my paws. However, I keep going, and keep my eyes fixed on the cliff top. I imagine hot, rotten-smelling breath rolling down my back, and I push on. My young body cannot take too much though, and all too soon me and my sister are resting again. We peer down, and see a third Kronador leap out of the battle, and sink his claws into the cliff face with a bone-jarring thud. They seemed intent on getting us, and I realized that it would be 2 less possibly skilled warriors to deal with in the future.
And so, the climb continued feverishly, and by the time we got to the top of the cliff, I felt like I couldn't take another step. I collapsed right there, and foolishly thought we were safe when my sister joined me. However, soon, I felt a gust of hot breath on my tail and back, and I look over the edge, strait into a Kronador's green eyes. It was a whisker-length away from my tail, and I would have been pulled down to my doom that night, if I hadn't reacted so quickly. The face of the Kronador was the most terrifying thing I had ever seen, and I bolted for the trees, my sister hard on my paws.
So much for the top being safe!I think miserably as I run, glancing back to see the Kronador pull itself over the edge, then shake it's head and begin to give chase. I no longer felt tired, and my whole body was filled to the brim with fear. Suddenly, my sister crashed into me, and we rolled down a slope, landing in a stream. I got up, then realized that my sister's mistake could just about save our lives. I look at the muddy banks, and an idea begins to form.
"Roll in the mud, hide your scent completely. Now" I growl, and plaster myself with mud, wrinkling my nose. My sister agrees, although her distaste shows plainly on her face. Then, I push her into the bushes, and wait. I see the Kronadors as dark shapes on the path we were following. They sniff the ground, and walk down the bank to the stream. Then, they snort and wade across to the other side. The Kronadors can't seem to pick up our scents again, and they look confused. Then, they turn, and head back to the cliff to rejoin the battle.
The rest of that night was uncomfortable and cold. We curl up under the bushes, and clean eachother off the best we can, between our tongues and short, anxious trips to the stream. Either way, we're soaked to the skin, and the chill of the night leaches the energy from our bones. However, the distant, horrifying sounds of the battle keep us, at least me, awake. The battle eventually, and the sun paints the sky with pink, purple, and gold. It seems that I only close my eyes for a second, then my sister is poking at me, urging me to get up. We wearily drag ourselves over to the cliff, and drop down onto a large ledge. I poke my nose over the side, and sniff the air, searching for our parents' scent. Kronadors, blood, and death, but no familiar scents. I droop, and I turn, slipping into a small cave, and fall asleep, my tail on my nose. After a while, my sister joins me.
We wait there, day after day, eating only the small insects, and butterbirds that we can catch. 7 days have passed, and our parents have not returned. On the 8th day, I see a group of WoI, tails dragging, noses down, carry 2 shapes into the stretch of grass, then bury them with dirt, then grass. The sun's rays peek ovewr the mountains, and to my horrification, I see the bodies of my parents, a bit mangled, but still reconisable. My sister had the same reaction, her eyes filled with tears. The group of WoI stand back, then turn, and leave. I wait to see if this is just a joke, that my parents would come running out of the forest to greet me and my sister. But a part of me turns away. My- our parents weren't coming back ever again.

That question is simple! As I'm sure all of my fellow contestants realize, this is a beautiful WoI, and everything about her calls
Come get me! You know you want this! She is one of the most stunning WoI I have ever seen, and I promise to try to stay as active as my schedule allows me to. Oddly, normally I would have gone for Armina, but I felt more drawn to the diffrent shades of brown ontop of a beautiful white body. I happen to adore long-tailed WoI, and I really don't care that they're the most common kind. I like thier tails, and how they elegantly flow. Also, I have made it one of my goals to get a WoI, and I won't rest 'till I do. Of course, I don't go around trying for all the WoI, but usually they're so beautiful I just couldn't keep my silence. Well, I hope you understand. (And I AM NOT buttering you up to get a better chance...)

Attributes of Armor-Flame colored plumes
