Dasher
"Alrighy, then," He said as he used his snout to shovel her gently onto his back, just as he'd done to help her into the forest after escaping the dog catchers.
Dasher hopped at first, that breaking into a small trot through a well-worn path in the forest. Shadows leaned and creatures lurked, scaring him at every sound. But he'd have to find a shelter soon, so that Flix and he could be safe for the night.

Dasher
"You okay back there?" He asked.
The forest for deeper and he knew Flix could tell. But he did his best to be brave as they neared the Rocky parts.
He would smell something, something that was strong in his nostrils. Bear, he thought automatically, but it was stale. Maybe there would be an empty, long forgotten cave they could take shelter in for the night.

Dasher
Alright, he nodded to himself.
The jagged rocks, pale grey and looking as if they could easily inflict painful wounds, surrounded them now and outlined the trail. He guessed they'd be near a place with a big enough crevice in between the rocks for them to both be comfortable.
At least he hoped. He had no idea what he'd find there...

Dasher
Dasher squinted into the dark, only the glow of the moon overhead to guide him through the trail. The jagged rocks basked in the light of the moon, reflecting on their rough surfaces, and tiny pairs of eyes glared at the two dogs as they padded by.
He shivered, a wave of discomfort wishing over him and leaving him stranded. He didn't like it up here, where even the stale scent of bear made him fill with guilt.
"There!" he shouted, directing Flix with his muzzle to a dark hole.
