This is so random but I'm working on a little KibaIno fanfiction and I want you guys to read what I've done so far.
Basically, the plot is that they're 'lost' in the woods and Ino's losing hope, but Kiba isn't. It was his idea to go on a hike with her so she keeps throwing him under the bus. Eventually, she will fall back on him because he's the one who knows how to survive and get out of the woods after dark. It's gonna be a mess of drama, cuteness/fluffiness and maybe a little horror when they start hearing noises and it starts to rain a little(I love using storms to raise tension, like most writers do)

The footsteps of two frisky teenagers on dead leaves crackled throughout the forest. It was all his idea to take a hike this late in the day so, of course, she felt obligated to complain.
“Kiba, how close are we to the end of the trail?”
“Not much farther…” Kiba replied, slightly annoyed because this was the 5th time he had to answer that question, “Why? Are you gettin’ tired?”
“Tired’s not the word.”
“Then what is the word?”
“Bored.”
“How come, Ino?”
“We’re tromping around in thick woods! I can’t even see the sunset!” Ino snapped, shivering a little, “And I’m starting to get cold.”
Kiba rubbed his forehead, “Figured you’d say that eventually…” then he perked up a bit, “Look, there is a lake west of here! We’ll follow the red trail markers till we get there, we’ll see the sunset and then we can take the easy way back, okay?”
Ino crossed her arms, “Alright. But I haven’t seen any red markers anywhere…”
“They’re on the trees, I saw one back there.”
“How far back there?” Ino asked.
“Ah…” Kiba pondered a bit, “I’d say…. pretty far back?”
“So shouldn’t we really have seen one recently?”
Blood started to drain out of Kiba’s face, how was he going to tell her?! He knew they hadn’t seen any trail markers because he’d decided to trust his Inuzuka nose and take his own path. He only said they had to follow the markers because he hoped Ino didn’t know jack about mapping hikes because she was from the most urban part of Konoha.
But Ino cut to the chase, “Are we lost?”
“Lost isn’t the word!” Kiba bit his lip and tried not to make eye contact with his girlfriend, who’s rage was visibly building up.
“Then what is the word!?”
“Not on the trail! We’re not lost, we’re just not on the trail!”
“And why’s that?” Ino stepped closer to Kiba, but not in an affectionate manner.
“We made our own trail!”
“WE?” Ino snapped, “You did! I’m just following you around! So what was up with the red tree marker bullcrap?”
“We have to find a red tree marker to know that we’re back on the community trail.”
Ino shoved her hands in her pockets and stared at the ground.
“Look, I’m sorry. We’ll just keep going. It looks like we’re gonna get out of here a little later than expected but I have a strong nose, I can smell the traces of people who’ve passed on the community trail so at least we have something to follow. And we can at least try to follow the sun too because that sets in the west.”
Ino’s frown lightened up a bit and she shrugged, “Yeah, at least.”
Kiba bit the inside of his cheek and slowly began to wrap his fingers around Ino’s hand, but the blonde girl smacked him away, “Not until we see the sunset. I’m still mad at you.”
“Well, I’m sorry for making you mad.” Kiba put his hands in the pockets of his sweatshirt, “Let’s just keep going.”
Kiba took the lead and the couple walked in dead silence for a good five minutes. They followed the setting sun which was increasingly getting harder and harder to see all because the trees were pretty dense. Tension and anxiousness began to replace the couple’s anger and frustration. As Kiba said, they weren’t technically lost more than they were just ‘out of bounds’ but it still felt like the chances of them getting out before dark were pretty slim.
“Kiba, this is ridiculous. It’s getting dark now!”
“Yes, I see that, Ino!” Kiba huffed, “But we’re ready for this!”
“You’re ready for this. I’m not!” Ino snapped back at her boyfriend.
Kiba stopped walking and turned around, “Have you not been staring at my backpack for the past few hours? The stuff in here is for our use, not just for show.”
As he said, and like the scout he was, Kiba Inuzuka was prepared. Hanging on his shoulders was a large backpack full of stuff that most city kids wouldn’t have even thought about ever using… except for the flashlight and possibly the Swiss Army knife. He was ready to finally use his badass survival gear in a situation other than ‘practicing’ on a camping trip. But he didn’t think that anything was seriously going to go wrong, they were just hiking and it’s not like they were miles from civilization. The lake they were heading for had houses lining the water that sheltered people who would gladly give them a ride back home. Kiba was ready, like the scout he was.
Ino however was in the worst mood possible; she’d missed her romantic sunset date with Kiba, was instead shivering to the heavens and tripping over her own feet because she had the worst night vision.
“Alright then, what have you got in there? A flare gun?”
“Yes, but we don’t have to use that because we’re not lost.” Kiba replied, rolling his eyes at Ino’s comment, “And even if we were, that’d be a stupid idea to send a flare up because we’d cause a forest fire and Smokey the Bear would beat us into next Tuesday.”
Okay, like I said, things will get fluffier and a lot more interesting.
