she watched him leave "Same" she yelled running back to camp.

"But the fox!" Pricklekit called, chasing after them. He stopped next to his brother.


"And where did you three go?" Tinycloud stared at her kits in anger, while letting her tail brush Rosey for comfort.

[despairz]

(Got to go!)

Sprucekits head goes down, "Sorry momma, we went for an adventure." He murmurs.

(Recap? And I think Ashkit was still in the nursery....why was Tinycloud getting all nervous over her kits missing?)

Ashkit woke up from her nap to see her mother grooming her siblings. She had dug under a bed of moss, which was quite cozy. She squirmed out and meowed loudly. "Mommy, where were you?"

Rainpelt curled around her kits, sleeping and purring.

Thorntail watched as the rabbit got closer, then he pounced and gave a quick chase before pinning it to the ground and giving it a swift bite to the neck, killing it. He smiled through the rabbit's fur as he padded back to Russetpaw. "Thth enogh?" it sounded like through the fur.

Russetpaw arched her back in a stretch once he had successfully caught the rabbit. She let out a small purr as his voice was muffled through the limp body that hung from his jaws, and she nodded. "Hopefully. Though, if something else throws itself in our paws, we'll take that too." She mused, beginning to pad in the direction of home.

"You should be teaching Bani the warrior code. Not breaking it." She said sternly to her sons as she sat down and gestured all four of the kits into her nest.

Ashkit didn't want to get in trouble, so she sneaked over to her mom and quickly curled up beside her.

Thorntail nodded and padded alongside Russetpaw, purring through the rabbit's thick fur. He twined his tail with hers for a moment, then they arrived back in the camp and he removed it. After setting the rabbit on the fresh-kill pile, he smiled at the apprentice beside him. "What would you like to do now? Find your mentor to train?"

Her ears went down. Hearing the tone in her voice reminded her of her mother. She looked up at the bigger she cat.

Rosey ducked further under the moss as the cat who brought her here, began to stroke her tail along Rosey. It was a comforting gesture, but it seemed to put Roe on more of an edge than before.
