I saw it coming, it seemed like there was so much foreshadowing about it...
I actually was going to quit Naruto. I refused to watch it, but then before I went back, I looked it up.
So I knew it was going to happen, I wanted to skip that part, but I forced myself into watching it x.x
That is now the only part I don't want to go back and re-watch.
I nearly quit Naruto over it and I still have no clue why of all deaths I really flipped over that one...

Despite all that, Pain is one of my very top favorite characters though XD
