Lighstar padded slightly infront of Birdpaw, her light cream pelt standing out slightly from the darker forest floor. "Where would you like to hunt?"


Leopardkit rubbed her cheek with a paw, watching Creekpaw bound off. She rolled the moss ball around under her paws for a few heart beats before getting to her pass with a yawn. The golden spotted tabby she-cat got to her paws and started for the Nursery, she could at least sleep a little before Creekpaw got back.

--yes, MelodyHeart (the medicine cat) is sorting through old herbs in her den alone and I think thats it cause Almondpaw, my apprentice, is waiting for the patrol to leave and Nightstream and Autumn fang are with Deerfoot to go on a patrol as well--

Warrior (Deputy?) ☾ In Camp ☽ With: Deerfoot and AutumnFang

"Ooh, no, don't get me wrong, I'm coming," I replied smoothly, flicking my tail and walking towards the entrance to the camp. I picked up Autumnfang's uneasiness towards me and I welcomed that as a challenge to prove myself, yet again, as I had to keep doing over and over again. I am no different from any of you! My gaze sweeps around the camp. I am a warrior of the code and they will know it.

I hurried after Deerfoot and caught up with him, matching his quick steps with my long strides. "Gesh," I whispered to Deerfoot, glancing back at the following shadow (Nightstream). "That was harsh!" I muttered, shaking my pelt as if to shake off the cloud that had hung in my mind. I set my mind set to mode hunting. I will bring back enough freshkill to feed all the elders! I silently set the goal in my mind, wanting to serve my clan as much as possible and abide by the amazing code. I could just picture the prey almost falling into my waiting claws.

I nodded my head, still a little ashamed at my mistake but then raised my head to find Spiderpaw snickering at me. I gave him my best glare back but then got a sudden idea. I skipped up to him and said, "Hello Spiderpaw! Isn't it just a wonderful, beautiful day?! Perfect for a patrol!" In the most cheerfully annoying tone that I could come up with. I brought my bright green gaze up to look at the blue sky and swept my tail around the late spring morning for effect.

Medicine Cat ∞ In camp ∞ With: No one

I sighed and my stomach grumbled but I ignored it, like always. I usually didn't fetch my own food, for I was normally far to busy, making my build thinner than most warriors. Not seeing my apprentice right away I ducked back into the coolness of my den and began shifting through herbs, going through the old dried out ones and separating them from the fresher new ones. I shook my head thinking, My apprentice should be doing this for me... I sneezed and examined the fresh compared to the old. There was to many old and not enough fresh. If there was to be an outbreak in a sudden illness...I wouldn't be ready, I realized with dismay, shaking my head once again.

Icepelt let out a soft yawn as she rose to her paws. Everyone seemed to be doing something today. The white she-cat trotted over to the medicine den, to check on Melodyheart. As the deputy approached the entrance to the den, she could smell the warming scent of the medicine cat. Icepelt poked her creamy white head inside, seeing Melodyheart was sorting through her herbs. "Do you need any help?" she asked kindly, now padding inside and taking a seat by the entrance to the den.

I looked up to see Icepelt and smiled. "I'm sure you, as the deputy, have other things to do than help me," I said softly, looking back down at y herbs. "My apprentice should be doing this..." I sighed, shaking my head. For a young cat I felt older than I really was. My stomach growled again and I looked up, "On second thought could you possibly get me something to eat? I've been a little busy this morning and haven't stopped by the freshkill pile," I explained.

Icepelt nodded, "Well, I am free for a while. Lightstar has organised plenty of patrols so far." the she-cat mewed, then nodded. "Sure, I'll be right back with that. And when I return, if you need any herbs fetching, I'm sure I can spare a little time to help you out, if you need herbs then I'd be helping the Clan anyway." she meowed, rose to her paws and turned around. Icepelt trotted out of the den and headed straight to the fresh kill pile.

I smiled and turned back to my herbs. What a nice cat, I thought, finishing sorting through them. I realized I was running short on a variety of the herbs. I think I'll take Iceplet up on that offer since my apprentice doesn't seem to want to learn, I rolled my eyes Starclan-ward and wished I didn't have so much stress. I respected and loved my leader but I still wished she would have waited a little while longer for an apprentice for me.
