Aden laid on the floor in silence as Iba resumed her lullaby to the dog quietly. She ran her hands through Bear's fur, careful to avoid the areas that felt nothing like fur.

Nyx stood up. She decided to climb the tree. She climbed until the branches swayed under her weight. She gripped the trunk tightly and looked back towards the school

Nyx climbed down from the tree. She started to walk back towards the school. She wanted to see Iba. Iba was her only friend. She sighed knowing she wouldn't see her for a long time.
