Aden seemed completely unaffected by her mention of having feelings toward him. His power allowed him to read other's fears like a book. He swiped his hand in the air and two perfectly recreated shadow apparitions of Nyx's parents appeared. Aden said nothing, knowing his rage would be his undoing.

Nyx stopped and stared at the shadows. She fought back tears and turned to look at him. "How dare you!" she yelled at him. She walked back to him and glared into his eyes. "How would you like it if someone made shadows of your parents? The parents that were murdered while you watched helplessly!!"

Aden' stone cold expression showed nothing. The shapes disappeared and he simply huffed. "I would feel sorry for them, they were not able to defend themselves." he lied, though nothing showed it. It could've very well been the truth. Not wishing to talk with Nyx further, he started walking towards his room without a word.
