Undeniably, Zach was beginning to grow tired of this girl's 'poor me' attitude. If she continued to act this way, even after his first attempts, then she was likely hopeless. "You know, you should knock that off." no longer was he trying to be a flirt, but speaking seriously. "If you view yourself as ugly, then so be it. Anyone who cannot accept their own beauty is blind." he grumbled. "Maybe, you will make the argument that I am blind. Am I correct in assuming this? My answer would be that I am one of the few in this world who isn't blind." Annoyance flecked his tone. Girls who were always griping about not being pretty drove him mad. Why couldn't they see? He tried to make that clear, complimenting them usually brought about a change in attitude. Clearly, Maggie would not accept it so quickly.

Corvo cracked a smile. If there was one thing that could make River angry, it was him mentioning having a drink. "Aw, come now, you never let Clara and I have any fun." he whined, giving her large puppy eyes. He was joking heavily, when River got mad at him, he became entertained. This probably wasn't a good trait to possess, nonetheless, he harbored it. "Coffee is nice and all, but alcohol makes everything more fun."

Unable to deny it any longer, even though it had kind of hurt how he had spoken about that other girl, she reached out a tentative hand towards him. She hated the fact that he had mentioned another girl had bothered her. She didn't know him and he wasn't her guardian anyways. Was he? She had been waiting for hers to arrive. She buried her hand in his fur and stroked gently. "Just like I thought..." she mumbled absently, lost in her thoughts.

He figured that if he continued to remind River of that memory, she'd likely slap him. "There was another time... well, I wasn't all that drunk, I was just tipsy." he said, reminiscing in the past. He chuckled softly then gave River a sheepish smile.

Zach grumbled and growled to himself. This girl... this Witch was able to slip out of his grasp. That's fine with him, a challenge was something he needed. There wasn't a way they would be able to stay apart, they were bond by fate, bond by their species. Even if this girl managed to annoy the living h*ll out of him, he was determined to make a difference. Turning on his heels, he stormed down the concrete sidewalk. Bandages. Maggie bounced back into the forest,sitting down as she felt calmer around the animals and plants around her.
