Taru focused her gave on the boy before her. She took a single step backwards, keeping her hands that sparked with blue lightning at the ready. "Who are you?" she demanded coldly. Her unnaturally yellow irises watched him with a given intensity. It was possible that he was a hunter, it was always possible. Something caused her to demur from electrifying him, he didn't have a weapon drawn. Despite that, he was still a threat.

"Scared?" Zach squeaked out then cleared his throat. "I'm not scared!" he argued quickly, feeling the need to defend his pride. If this girl thought she could insult him then boy was she mistaken! This would not be acceptable.

Anna watched the guardian. He appeared slightly older than her. He struck her as shy and quiet, though lions were usually loud and put themselves out there. She moved closer to him and knelt on the ground with about a foot of distance between them. She looked him over, his hair appeared soft and she had the strangest urge to see if it really was. But she didn't give in to her urge and kept her hands in her lap. "My name is Anna Leigh. But you, Lion, can call me Anna." The small smile she gave him wasn't one she graced people with very often, but something told her he needed her to be nicer. She needed to gain his trust. Though rare, her smile was sweet and warm, making her face shine in opposition to the darkness inside her.

Corvo's arms crossed against his chest as he rubbed his chin thoughtfully. He still held the cup in his opposite hand, but didn't bother to give it any attention at the moment. "It is very possible, but I doubt he will show his face." He spoke with an air of confidence. Days had gone by since he had seen a hunter, possibly even weeks. As he began to think over the matter, this almost made him more uneasy. They would likely strike soon. "If he, or his minions, do show, though, I will be here to protect you." He assured River as his doubts began to materialize. If they were to see the WHO it would be sooner rather than later.

The Doctor chuckled fiendishly as he skipped to the back of his lab. He dug through a few things, snapped on a pair of gloves, then returned to Steal with something that looked identical to a chocolate. "Poisonous cocoa." he sang out, extending the toxic candy to Steal. "Eat it yourself or feed it to someone else." he instructed, a smile of excitement plastered across his expression. The bandages wrapped around his arm hung loosely, needing to be replaced. Science was the madman's first priority. He didn't bother to explain what it would do. Surprises made it all the more enjoyable.

Zach ducked down in a polite bow, refraining from taking the girl's hand again. "Well, my dear, I shall be departing now. If your beautiful self would so much desire to accompany me, then I would love it." he spoke formally all of a sudden. A suggestive look returned to his eyes as he watched Maggie expectantly. "If not, then I will excuse myself to cry in a corner."

(Recap: Zach and Maggie were attacked by a group of Hunters, Michael and Destiny are talking, as are most of the others. The Doctor and Steal are discussing matters of needing test subjects for the Doctor's poisonous chocolate.)

"You'd better be!" River exclaimed with a slight smirk across her face, "what do you want to do now?"

Drew bit his lip,nodding."The names Drew."He said,looking away.The girl made him feel odd,not that it was new.Though when he was in lion form, he felt more better of himself...He never knew why.

Maggie rolled her eyes,shaking her head."Your scared to admit it, kinda obvious."She said,smiling.She knew this situation only too well.

"Well Drew, what are you doing out here all by yourself?" Something about him made her loosen up. She bit her bottom lip and her eyes twinkled with mischief."Don't you know there are big bad witches in these woods?"

Drew laughed a bit,rolling his eyes."The baddest witch i met, was when i was small."He said,smiling a bit."And i guess i was looking for something to do."

Corvo took a long and slow sip of his coffee then turned it upside down. "I seem to be out of liquid." he observed, sending an expectant look to River. "I think we need some more or perhaps I will go find a bottle of which you hate." he considered the second idea. It was past five, right? Probably not, either way, when had he obeyed human rules?

Zach let out a loud huff, skidding to a stop. "Hon, if you are going to treat me like this, then I'm afraid I do not appreciate your ways of expressing love." he said regally. "You must equalize your physical beauty internally, and I have yet to see that." a small grimace flashed across his expression. He really needed to stitch up these wounds or at least wrap them. Taking a knife or three to the side wasn't pleasant, even for Guardians.

Maggie scoffed,rolling her eyes."The day i call my self pretty, is the day the world ends."She grumbled,her fingers twitched,making the plants around her move out of her path.

Her smile drooped some at his comment on bad witches. "Lion, you ain't seen nothin' badder than a witch of shadows." She had almost kept herself from telling him, but she knew that if she was going to talk to him then she at least had to give him a chance to leave. She had never had much good luck when it came to meeting new people. As soon as they found out she was a shadow witch they ran for the hills. To terrified of the evil personalities her kind were known for. To afraid of her using their greatest fears against them.
